About this ebook
For Robyn, reaching out in a time of need was in her nature. When one of her patients needed help, she felt she had to get involved. Under normal circumstances, it was something she wouldn’t consider.
She had just reached a point in her life where everything seemed to click in to place. Buying a property and gearing up to leave home, she met her mate, Harrison.
To help her patient, there was nothing else Robyn could do but shift in to a different form to lend a hand. She had taken them under her wing. The most unfortunate thing happened as she was snooping. She was caught and trapped. Not in her human form, but she had shifted in to a beautiful red-breasted Robin. Caught by a little girl and placed in a cage. Not the ideal place for someone to be. Not even if you are a bird.
The authorities were called in to help. Sounds crazy. But they were not only dealing with a bird but a human. The heat was on to save her.

THE LOCATION
A small town always has a certain appeal. If there are farms in the area, that seems to be a draw card. But if you have the ocean nearby, that is when you strike it lucky. The town named Langsville has all of that. The forest is a huge attraction for reasons you might not believe. Take a step back from the daily hustle and bustle and step in to a world where psychics, shifters and magical beings whisk you away. Welcome to Langsville!
Chapter 1
Robyn sat in the restaurant with her mum as they waited for the family to arrive. She looked around at the busy restaurant and seemed to be rather distant. She often drifted off in to her own world. Robyn.
Robyn looked up as her mum spoke. Something wrong?
Sorry, Mum. I was—.
Desiree cut her off before she could finish her sentence. Thinking about one of the patients you are treating. Your mind seems to be overworked at the moment. You can hardly have a conversation and your eyes seem to glaze over and you are in a different world.
It’s the house.
I can’t understand why you bought that place.
So that I have somewhere I can call home. I am not saying anything is wrong with me living with the family. But I do need a little place of my own.
Well, you can hardly call it little. How on earth are you going to afford to furnish that place?
Mum.
Desiree shook her head. As I was saying. Before you drifted away.
I heard you, Mum.
Robyn felt a strange tingling sensation travelling up her spine. The hairs on her arms started rising. She rubbed her arms willing the eerie feeling to go away. Robyn slowly looked around the restaurant. Her eyes immediately connected with a man sitting a short distance from them. She quickly looked away but knew he had noticed her. What was it that was creating that strange feeling? Or was it someone?
Jamie has her birthday party coming up soon.
I have it in my diary. I have already bought her a lovely gift.
I hope you bought something appropriate for a fifteen-year-old.
A memory card that she was pining over for quite a while. And a gift voucher to use at the computer shop.
Desiree beamed. Oh, Robyn! That is so thoughtful.
Not forgetful Mum.
That I know. You are worse than an elephant. You remember everything. I don’t know how you get it right. Jamie hasn’t said anything about a memory card since she saw it and commented. I am impressed.
Robyn shook her head as Desiree leaned over and gave her a brief hug. Robyn rubbed her arms. You can’t be cold.
No. Not really.
Have you given up on the astral travel? That is a very dangerous thing to try.
Mum I haven’t tried it again since the last time.
Good. Sometimes I worry about you.
No need to worry.
Desiree tsked and smiled. Now. This new house.
Hasn’t been registered in my name yet. Should be this week. Then I can start thinking about cleaning it up and getting it shipshape.
You can hardly call it a house.
An ordinary old farmhouse on a smallholding which has been renovated.
I am not so sure about you moving in to such a big place.
Mum. I can’t see myself in a flat or a house in the suburbs. I need to have space.
In my opinion out of the three of you, you are the oddity.
Robyn rubbed at her arms. The hairs would not go down and the strange feeling was still there. It was not a good sign. Will you stop rubbing your arms like that?
There must be a chill in the air.
"Then you should have worn a bit more to cover
