Preface
Welcome into a glimpse of my soul. In these pages, a love story of the heart and mind, the long-awaited union of the divine feminine and masculine within, will unfold in poetic verses. I bare my soul
in these poems as an example of soul alchemy, healing, growth, and expansion. My poetry is introspective and transcendental as I explore the deep crevices of the heart and mind, only to find a sweet connection with my inner knowing and wisdom that always lights the way and guides me to alignment with my sacred self.
For a long time, I sought happiness, abundance, security, and safety from the external world. But for me, it was all taken in an instant with the tragic loss of my beloved soulmate almost twenty years ago. It was then that I realized how seeking from the outside can be fleeting, unfulfilling, even devastating. I knew I needed to build from within so no external change could ever take from me again.
I also knew building from within meant cleaning house. Clearing and purging my mind and heart of any preconditioning that was holding my creation hostage or discouraging the full expression of my sacred self. I knew I could not fully align with abundance, opulence, affluence, and joy while still making space for a heavy and dense load of mental and emotional clutter and burdens. I marched forward with a deep sense of perseverance to clean my internal space. This collection of poems is a direct reflection of that determination. As you will find, the clutter illuminated my attachment to lack and fear: a lack of feeling supported, a lack of fulfillment in career changes, a lack of a partner, a lack in finances, and the fear of a new way of existing and thriving.
Once the space was cleared and purged, I felt quite anxious, and the temptation to once again get entangled in my mental stress was persistent. I wanted to hastily fill the empty space I’d created, but my sacred self prevented such haste.
My sacred self significantly slowed my creation down to a point of a standstill. This time of stillness (which at times felt more like an unwanted delay) forced me deeper within. It led me to a place of surrender and acceptance, of aligning with peace and harmony, out of complete mental exhaustion and burnout. I was aligning more and more with my heart and sacred self, but my addiction to mental stress was still present. However, the grip it had upon my existence was getting less and less intense, and so I was able to have some altitude with the stress. I saw it for what it was: an experience of the soul. In this collection, you will also witness this altitude and the sweet reunion with my sacred self as this connection develops and becomes stronger in each poem.
After some time
