Was Jesus Christ three days and three nights in the tomb? We know that He was buried about sunset on the day He was crucified. And from the scriptures we know He claimed He would be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth, the same time as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish.
So if Jesus was to rise from the grave after this time frame, which was the only sign that He would give to the Pharisees and Sadducees, Then what day and hour did He rise from the dead?
This is a very controversial subject and there are several differing answers. The only place we can get an accurate answer is from the word of God. The Holy Bible. I wrote this book as a result of my personal studies on this subject.
Traditional Christianity follows the Good Friday crucifixion and resurrected on Sunday Morning. Other Christian groups believe in a Wednesday Afternoon burial and a Saturday or Sabbath day Resurrection three days later.
From the time of His death and burial, how many hours was the Son of Man to be in the grave before He was resurrected from the dead?
Which one is correct and is it possible to prove it from the scriptures alone?
The correct answer to the question "When did Jesus rise from the tomb" may be a surprise to many readers. I have given many scripture references to back up what I have written. So please get your own bible down and check these references to make sure what I have quoted  is accurate.

There are many differing views about the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. But naturally there can only be one correct view. I needed to find the truth on this matter for myself, so I spent a considerable amount of time seeking the answer in the only place where I could get the truth. God’s Holy Bible. The Bible is the only place I would expect to find the truth.

If you are seeking answers to all of today’s questions on matters of faith and your relationship with our Almighty Creator. Then His Holy Bible is where to look for these answers. After-all, He is not only the one who created all things, including us. But He is also the author of the Bible.

This can be confirmed by the number of times it has been recorded for us in the Bible where God has said Thus saith the Lord. This indicates these passages of scripture were spoken by God Himself, and recorded for all future generations. And this most certainly includes us today. Therefore, if you want the truth on this matter you must look into God’s word for the truth. Many people will disagree with me, but if they are using man’s teachings, opposed to God’s teachings. Then who are you going to believe. I sincerely hope you choose to believe the word of God over man’s words.

Every scripture. The old and the new testaments were inspired by God and written for our learning.

It is very difficult to unlearn something you may have held as the truth for many years. Your first reaction may be to refuse to believe what you are reading for the first time. You prefer the old understanding and are uncomfortable with the new ideas. This is where many will just refuse to read any further and give up. Their minds are already made up even before they start. Traditions from many years in a particular mind set make it hard to see beyond what they believe to be right. Whether they are right or not.
