My ears perk up and I automatically swing around, nearly spilling the silver tray of champagne flutes in my hand.

Eric cheerfully beams at me, inviting me to chat with him using his eyes. His arm was glued to an attractive woman's waist. They were both good looking, the kind of couple you'd look at and expect them to be together.

Eric was tall and devilishly handsome with his broad shoulders which spoke of power and strength. His mystery date was flower like, with a perfect oval face, she had wholesome good looks.

Biting my lower lip, I silently acknowledge him with a nod as I gather up as much self-confidence as I could. I hesitate on my feet before I steady the silver tray and walk over to him with my head held high.

Eric! Good to see you man. It's been a while. I pointed out.

I barely managed to blink before his arm lets go of her and makes his body fully open and available to me for a friendly hug.

Yeah man! It's good to see you too! He laughed, tangling his arm halfway around me, I was careful not to spill the drinks in my hand.

He proudly showed the prowess of his upper body strength, I could feel him flexing his muscles. What a showoff.

He had this aura of raw masculinity that shone through once you were in close enough proximity to him.

We used to joke that he could impregnate women by just being in his presence while he had a hard on.

Looking good, man. I reply as I step back to get a better view of him. He really did look good. Different. But good.

I swallow hard and a nervous laugh escapes my lips as I awkwardly iron out the ruffles in my mini skirt.

Eric gently nuzzles her neck, making her giggle with delight, and reveals, This is Courtney, my girlfriend. Court, this is Stan, my best friend.
