Pearlie continued with ongoing weekly treatments while learning culture and lifestyle differences. Through the mind of an innocent child, she gradually grasps an early understanding of race relations and how friendships are developed.

Yvonne Bardwell Cox and her husband Pastor Tommy L. Cox reside in Columbus, Mississippi. She has a blended family of handsome sons, beautiful daughters, adorable grandchildren, and beloved great-grandchildren. Yvonne cherishes time spent with her family. She is a proud alumnus… successfully completed her educational degree status to obtain a Bachelor’s in Special Education (Jackson State University, Jackson, MS), a Master’s, and an Educational Specialist in Administration and Supervision (Mississippi State University, Starkville, MS). She is a lifetime professional educator and learner, who believes in securing educational opportunities for all children.
