About the Author
I have been accused of being too blatant with the tongue. My belief is if asked a question, one probably wants a truthful answer. We cannot make proper judgments if we do not have the whole truth. It may hurt or make you mad even, but the bottom line…now we know.

All glory and praise belong to God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Without You, I could not have overcome what I overcame. I am deeply grateful for Your guidance and Your faithfulness.
Darryl G. Blackwell, the best husband and friend I could hope for. You have been the greatest example of how a man is to love his wife. Every time I think about how the Lord brought us together, I am filled with gratitude.
To my precious sisters, Christine and Faye, who encouraged me in every way to write this story, listened as I read what I had written along the way, and gave wonderful suggestions to how to say it better. Thank you!
My friend Martha Jones, it was because of your courage that I found mine. You are special.
There were those of you who prayed and prophesied the Word of God over this project. Thank you for your love!

Some days the summer heat was just enough that if you had air-conditioning in the car, you didn't need to turn it on. We would much rather have the windows down to holler with a "Glad
