ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I am humble and grateful to everyone that provided help during the time that I wrote Tales from the Soul / My Poetic and Photo Collection.
Thanks so much to all who took the time to encourage me. Special thanks to my son John who provided great insight, my daughter Nia, always a cheer leader, my friend Tonya, my friend and assistant pastor Mary, my friend Malik, and Courtney my granddaughter for listening, laughing, and talking with me as I wrote Tales from the Soul/ My Poetic and Photo Collection.
During my writing journey I also received help from my eldest daughter as she reminded me to eat properly and take time to rest, and my eldest son Phillip who provided some much-needed time away from my keyboard.
Special Recognition to my I T, photographer, and special effects person Herbert T. Fontenot.
Above all, thanks to my heavenly father. Without him, none of the above would have been possible.

In retrospect her survival was an act of God. She was a high school dropout, a mother that raised four children in her head of household role, and a person that suffered several atrocities. Despite many losses and setbacks, she still managed to succeed in life. Was it in spite of, or was it because of?
As of this day and this time I
