Aaron tossed his tie and briefcase on her desk and rolled up the sleeves of his white dress shirt. The top three buttons of the shirt were also open, exposing a few dark hairs on his chest. 

He cocked an eyebrow. What? 

Nicole is talking about your meat.

He flushed and rolled his eyes. Never mind. 

Leah laughed and watched Aaron walk into his office. Man, his ass is fine.

You didn’t just tell him I was talking about his penis, did you?

Of course. 

Damn it, Leah. Now, I’m not going to be able to look at him at Christmas dinner.

Whatever. You’re full of shit. You’ve heard more about his–

Stop. Don’t tell me about your ridiculously smutty sex life. Not today. Nicole’s irritation rang clear through the phone line. 

Fine. Leah tilted her head and crossed her legs. Do you want me to go shopping with you? I don’t have anything for Mom and Dad either.

Would you? Without giving Leah time to answer, Nicole continued, I would love to go with you. It would be just like old times.

Sounds fun. I’m sure my boss will let me get away for the afternoon as long as I put in a leave slip. Leah grinned. Slip. She would love it if he slipped something in her. Juvenile? Yes. Sinfully delicious? Absolutely. 

I’ve got your slip, right here, Aaron’s baritone voice called out from the adjacent office.

Leah picked up the phone on her desk. Good morning, Gregg Corporation. 

It’s me, her sister, Nicole Collins, said.

Smiling, she swiveled in her chair. Hey, sis. What’s up? Nicole was Leah’s younger sister by three years. They’d been close while growing up and had an older brother, Trey.
