Julia sat up on the bed. She was ready for round two, but she wanted something a little different this morning. The bedroom was clouded with the sweet haze of incense. The floor was littered with twisted bedsheets and discarded clothes. Her two roommates had apparently woken up before her and were already engaging in their morning ritual. The wet suckling sounds gave it away even before she noticed the undergarments hanging from the bedpost.

She knew she wasn’t going to interrupt the two of them while they were so deeply involved in their pleasure.

Julia, or rather Queen Julia Wolfhaze, was the reigning monarch of a wealthy orc empire called the Northern Expanse. Her ancestors colonized these lands two centuries ago and removed the elven inhabitants after a long and bloody war. There were pockets of the survivors who were allowed to dwell in special districts in the cities scattered across the dunes, but they were effectively slaves and lived wretched loves of poverty and humiliation. It was customary for royalty to keep elves as servants to work the grounds outside of their palaces, but they were forbidden from enjoying the luxuries held within. Today, however, Queen Julia was going to make a rare exception.

Last night she had been celebrating her friend’s birthday by participating in the usual fashion. They drained barrel after barrel of wine, challenged each other to fist fights and indulged in any impulse that burned within them. Orcish birthdays were notoriously bloody, passionate affairs that were always unforgettable in one way or another. Julia avoided physical altercations in favor of carnal pursuits that night, but she could never find total satisfaction with orc men. They could never keep up with her insatiable appetite, but she still enjoyed letting them try.

She staggered out of the bedroom hoping to find a new kind of companion this morning. Someone who could sate her appetite. Much to her delight, she found him.

It was a quiet weekend around the castle aside from some small celebratory commotion happening indoors, but none of that had any effect on the duties of the young elf working in the garden.

The desert sun was warm already, and he was grateful that there wasn’t much to do. He allowed his thoughts to wander as he stared up at the clear blue sky, leaning against a fragrant tree. The smell reminded him of a young maiden he was once entangled with. They had spent the afternoons gathering palm fruits for the other elves in the Green Quarter and spent their nights discovering new ways to stoke the fires of their love for each other. He sighed, remembering the curves of her body and the way she took control of him and brought him immeasurable pleasure. He had never been with a woman like her before and doubted he would ever be so lucky again.
