Chapter One

Mankind’s last war finally happened. Countries threw everything they had at each other. Nuclear bombs, chemical weapons, it didn’t matter, if it was in their arsenal, they flung it at their enemy and let tomorrow be damned. Once one side decided that there was no limit, the other side did too.

In the end, there were no winners. Cities were leveled. Billions lay dead. More were wounded and scarred. Governments were destroyed. Borders no longer existed.

For the few survivors, the future was bleak. Most of the air and water were poisoned. The infrastructure that most people relied on was no more. But that wasn’t the worst. The worst thing that happened was SIXMO. It guaranteed mankind’s extinction.

There was no way of knowing which country created the chemical compound SIXMO and for what exact purpose. The United States, Russia, and China were the only countries with the resources to ensure that it would spread across the globe.

SIXMO specifically targeted human females. Within a week, most of the world’s females, regardless of age, died. Six months later, there were no known living women or girls on the planet.

Human life could have continued without men. Scientists had already created artificial sperm and successfully used it to fertilize eggs. Women could have kept the humanity alive. But with only men, mankind was doomed to die off.
