From Pauper to Warrior Princess
()
About this ebook
There is method to the madness. There is purpose to the pain. Your life was predestined before your birth. Your story is your process of the pauper becoming the princess.
I read this book in a time of my own personal healing. I would find myself crying through most of the pages, not because I always related to the stories that were shared, or because I empathized with my sister’s sufferings, but because there was such healing in the words that she used. The stories shared didn’t always have the fairy-tale endings that we hope for in books, but they are real, transparent and reveal to the reader a glimpse of the reality, that life in itself is painful and confusing and the “dots” don’t always line up, but with God in our hearts we find a sense of peace through it all. And sometimes that’s all we need to overcome life’s challenges.

There are certain intervals in life where moving forward seems harder than just laying down and sulking to the unfairness of life that just slams your breath away. Reading this book made me realise that when you hear someone else’s story, that maybe yours wasn’t as harsh in comparison to theirs. Lingering in the gap of surety and uncertainty, a certain light brings clarity to a dark and demented world where situations and circumstances paints a clear picture as to the why’s we are so fond of asking when nothing else makes sense. The Author of this book and my very loving friend has laid her heart out in this heart wrenching but intriguing story that will touch the lives of The Everly’s of this day and age. This book is that light, where procrastination meets purpose and where every situation that you might face will bring you closer to your inevitable destiny. Read everything, because every word written is a brush stroke to this incredible masterpiece.

The eldest of three daughters, Dio-Ché is beauty therapist, poet, writer, and author of "From Pauper to Warrior Princess", as well as the co-author of "31 Days with the Proverbs 31 Woman" Devotional. Born in Namibia but moved so often one could call her a nomad. "In this world, but not of this world"I developed a keen liking toward writing in school, unbeknownst that it was a hidden talent that would send me on one heck of a journey. It was when I was awarded with a trophy for being one of the top achievers in the country that I realised there's something special going on here. There lies within the spoken and written word a power with the ability to cause life or death, and how we use it will determine the course of our lives.I believe that our life stories is for the benefit of all those we encounter along life's journey and that each chapter is meant for our growth. The ever unfolding story of life's race is one I wish to portray within my writing with the hope that it will bring healing and growth to those that read it. The role and purpose of the woman is where my ministry lies and sharing my story is part of that calling.God vows His Word to have authority over all things. He is faithful to His Word, thus if we wish to be more like Him, we ought to be faithful and be true to our word.

These are some of the descriptions I would use and give to this title after the first read.
Reading almost like a handbook for ‘what not to do as an impressionable and vulnerable young girl’ Predestined with Great purpose
seeks to exorcise and renounce demons and decisions that haunt the author even as an adult.
And yet, read it you must!
The honesty of these memories of her youth, and life as a young girl growing up in Namibia, sometimes rubs over uncomfortable bumps in one’s own conscience.
Dioline’s journey is reminiscent of what many young girls go through, but without the positive outcome and thanksgiving. Too many dreams, hopes and lives are lost along their own similar journeys. This book reminds us that whatever we go through in life can either destroy us or ‘grow’ us. God allows the rain to fall on the just and unjust in equal measure, but He alone holds the pieces of our life together.
Which is why I believe girls and women of all ages should read this account of Dioline’s life. For the lessons it teaches and questions it raises. For the hope that it presents. Very few people have the luxury of hindsight and when this is offered to us, it should be grasped fiercely and then learnt from.
Dioline has presented a brave and informative work with great empathy and humility. Enjoy. And learn.

The greatest honour and gratitude must go to Abba. His will and determination to use the most flawed humans to fulfil His purpose in the earth is indeed a level of grace that no other thing can afford us.
To my family - my sense and logic in a chaotic world. Thank you!
Ridow-Ann Jasmine, my greatest supporter throughout my journey with Christ, my soul mate, my sister. If not for you, I would have given up on myself a very long time ago. Thank you for seeing the glory of God on my life and speaking life to those areas that I could only see death. Thank you for carrying me regardless of the battles you faced yourself. Your input has truly been invaluable.
Anastasia Jerené, you might be my baby sister but so many times you have proven a level of wisdom and maturity far beyond your years. The fact that you looked at your older sisters lives and decided to learn from our mistakes is monumental and exactly what I wish to accomplish with this book. Thank you for standing up for me when I was being accused or judged unfairly. Thank you for being the ray of sunshine in our lives, even though you sometimes give me migraines the way I give you eyebrow spams.
My mom, Angeline, thank you for your faith and prayers. Thank you for acknowledging my strength and bravery when I truly felt weakest. Thank you for offering me up into the hands of Abba and trusting that He’ll take care of me, which He most certainly did. I honour you as a single mother of three very strong willed and opinionated young women, being able to set a solid spiritual foundation for us, never forcing Jesus down our throats or bible bashing us but allowing us to grow and nurturing us into His faithfulness. That is the greatest gift any parent can give their children. Thank you!
To my beloved friends and mentors;
Hein Armando, wow! A man after God’s heart. You have been a rock in times when I didn’t even realize how much I needed it. You’ve pushed me to take that pen and write the song of my heart more times than I can remember. Thank you for believing in me! Thank you for helping the Everly in me.
Zane Meas, what an honour it’s been to call you a friend and have your guiding hand through this process. Your passion and ministry has been a major motivation, helping me recognise the importance of this work.
To every single person who has been part of my journey, nudging me to pursue this dream; supporting and carrying me in those times where my own two legs refused to obey my command. I am eternally grateful for you!
Blessings to you all!
Dedication
This book is dedicated to all the Everly’s in the world.
May you always rise after a fall.
Once you realize that every battle was indeed a blessing in disguise,
You can face life with a smile on your face and a hop in your step again.
The stargazer lily is the symbol of innocence, purity, prosperity and abundance. It stands for success, determination, commitment, passion and the fulfilment of dreams.
This is my wish for you!
She is Everly
Her voice fades as she tries to hide her heart’s desires
Not knowing in fact, revealing everything, the passion, the fire
She sighs of relief as she explains her pain away
Is she healed, not completely, but she doesn’t say
No signs of weakness, only strength and valour
A warrior, brave and fearless, her faith so sure
Beneath the armour are the scars, deep and dark
Life’s battles, wounded, dragged away from the light, so far
In agonising pain, she grounds her sword, her support
She lifts herself from the ground, only pain, distort
With a loud voice, she cries out:
‘NNOOO!!! Keep your regret, Hold your doubt,
I was down, conquered but never out’
She stomps the earth, her shield flips from the ground
The enemy trembles, still driven by bloodlust, like a hound
She stands upright, armour, sword and shield
‘You’ll knock me down again, but I won’t yield’
She quotes, ‘unto you I say, verily, verily
Though I fail, I will stand, I am Everly’
She wields her sword, ‘I am Everly
Forever I stand, when I fall, I pray
When I stand, I fight, sometimes misled, but never astray’
Her war cry, in glory, in praise, ‘unto you I say
Verily
As I fall, I pray, as I stand, I fight, I am Everly’

Introduction
This book is a compilation of poems, spoken word pieces, some art and a story linking each piece with a personal testimony. Each piece represents the beginning of a new chapter and ends with a reflection section. You can use the images for some art therapy and colour them as you see fit. Although the theme is set in a memoir style, this book is not entirely so much about the girl behind it all, but more about how every single event in my life was orchestrated so that it may become the means through which God will break dozens of strongholds in the lives of many women, perhaps even men, both young and old. I believe that if you’re holding this book, it is meant for your heart. This is how your process begins. This is how healing and restoration will envelope and engulf you.
I began writing about my story at the end of high school but stopped because I felt there wasn’t enough to sustain its core and foundation. Over the past few years, I’ve been told numerous times that I ought to start writing again but for some reason I just never truly caught the full picture and purpose. I mean, who wants to read yet another story about someone’s life? There are dozens of such books already. Besides, what makes me so significant that anyone would even care to read about my story? I hadn’t yet come to understand the depth of my experiences and the purpose of my life.
Over the past couple of years however, God has been doing such a phenomenal work
