Introduction
The ones who are crazy enough to think that the can change the world are the ones who do.
-Steve Jobs
Change The World, RIGHT!...How Do I Do That, Again???!:
We always say to graduating classes across the nation, and the world at large, Be the change You want to see in the World
. And that is the noblest of aspirations, and most inspiring of motivational benedictions. I know when I was graduating High School, I took that advice to heart, and set off to do just that! Fueled by my stunning GPA, my excitement to finally be on my own as an adult, and with the words of the immortal Prince in my mind, "We are the New Power Generation. We wanna change the world. The only thing that’s in our way is you"; I was ready to solve every world problem in just a couple of years.
The only problem with that was, after a few failed college classes, failed relationships, and failed attempts to become truly autonomous from my parents, my lofty aspirations to change the world began to fade into glasses of alcohol and seas of college parties. However, my ambitions of being a world changer rebounded as my time of walking across that college graduate stage moved closer. After reading Jonathan Kozol’s Savage Inequalities
back in the’90s, I just knew I would run to East St. Louis or New York and rescue every at-risk child. But, once again, after a string of seemingly meaningless entry level jobs, more bad relationships, and being buried in so much post-graduate debt I had to move back in with my parents; I found myself asking the question: Change the world…HOW am I supposed to do that again?!
Have you ever been there? Despite wanting to make an impact and truly change the world for the better in some way, you are absolutely clueless on how to do it?! Then this book is for YOU! Most of us are just stumbling around hoping to find what we are made for and why we are here. But, I’m going to introduce you to some people who have found themselves, and their purpose in life, and, by default, have consequently, changed the world…for the better! Come with me!

Marsha
Marsha and Andy starting dating Freshman year of high school. Marsha fell hard for Andy, because he made her laugh. Having an award- winning sense of humor herself, it always impressed Marsha when a guy could match wits with her. But, pretty soon it became apparent that Andy’s stunning sense of humor was born of pain. Andy always wore long-sleeved shirts, and pants, and even showed up to school a few times with black eyes, cuts, and scratches.
When Marsha would visit Andy at his house, it was obvious that Andy’s mother was always under the influence of something; or more
