#1 I had always known I was a Thetan, and I had never believed anything else. Thetan was the term Scientologists used for an immortal spirit that animated the human body, while the body itself was essentially a piece of meat.
#2 I was born into the Church of Scientology, but it was not until shortly before my second birthday that the Church began to shape the course of my life. My parents decided to give up their life in New Hampshire and move to California, where they would serve the Church.
#3 The Sea Org was the group that my father was a part of. It was a special group that operated at sea, and wore naval-style uniforms. They were also given their own rank and rating system. Ten years later, my father found himself in the midst of the all-out recruitment effort.
#4 My parents were very dedicated to the Church, and when they left in 1979, they remained public Scientologists, but without the full-time commitment of service to the Sea Org. They spent the next few years living a normal life with my father’s parents.

I had always known I was a Thetan, and I had never believed anything else. Thetan was the term Scientologists used for an immortal spirit that animated the human body, while the body itself was essentially a piece of meat.

The Sea Org was the group that my father was a part of. It was a special group that operated at sea, and wore naval-style uniforms. They were also given their own rank and rating system. Ten years later, my father found himself in the midst of the all-out recruitment effort.
#4
