Vidya Gita (Song of Knowledge) in simple English rhyme is from the Tripura Rahasya. Herein The teacher is Sri Tripura Sundari and diciples are the legendary sages who were inquiring into the Knowledge of Awareness, bliss and Non-dual Brahman-Consciousness.

Gita and Ramayana are perhaps the sum total of the fabrics of Hinduism (a way of life).

The Gita (song) are teaching by Divine or ancient revered holy rishis teaching both metaphysics and practice of disciplined action. They proclaims that life is worth living, teaches how it should be lived and the path to self-realisation. They are the cream of the Upanishads, which themselves are the core of the Four Vedas.

The Vidya Gita a chapter does be,

In the larger Tripura Rahasya surely,

It the Secret Doctrine of Tripura be,

Larger work’s summary essentially.

Tripura means three cities literally,

Refers to Goddess Tripura Sundari,

The personification of the Self be,

Ruling consciousness states three.

The three states of consciousness be,

The wakeful, dream, deep sleep truly,

She is described extremely lucidly,

In Bahvṛca Upanisad as below seen:

"She pervades three states and bodies,

Illuminating both outside, within fully,

Within the Exalted Tripura Sundari be,

Outward place, time, and matter surely.

She alone is the Self unquestionably,

Other than That unreality, non-self be,

She the consciousness of Brahman be,

Of even a particle of birth or death free.

She is the exalted Tripura Sundari lofty,

Knowledge of Awareness and bliss be,

She Non-dual Brahman-Consciousness be,

Outside and within - only She shinning be.

She that which absolute being does be,

Shinning as absolute consciousness truly,

Love bliss, fullness, the Tripura Sundari,

One Reality, whole, Goal – Brahman be.

The Vidya Gita, or Song of Knowledge be,

Story of a meeting of sages legendary,

Who discussing the doctrine of Self be,

Debate whose practice method best be.
