In the final days of Christmas 2019 I had an epiphany. I will never forget that night when I cried out as I saw a vision of that "little"! Since then, I have felt so dismal and would rather bury my head in the sand! No matter where I go and how fast I run, I can’t forget that dream or catch that invisible "little" anymore! I found myself running away and I couldn't help it! I would ask myself, "To whom should I report to?", "What is the remedy other than running away?" These questions have brought me to author the fourth book on COVID-19. This series has covered the world's journey, experiences, and views since it all began. It was just a "little" and wasn’t much. Before I knew it, it had infected the world entirely. It was supposed to pass by swiftly with "little" to be done. Then it proceeded to be remedied by a face mask for two weeks, followed by just one dose of a vaccine. All the while, the nightmare never ended. The "little" invader of human cells creeped in unnoticed; in the darkness, and left imprinted memories for generations to come. It has changed our day to day lives for more than two years, shaped our daily living, and will affect our future for decades to come. The "little" wasn’t the least as the world thought, and was indeed ignored, as many downplayed its sharp spikes until it killed millions and infected hundreds of millions. The world is living in tears and terrors, broken hearted, and in fear. "What is next?'', I would ask myself, as it appears it is only getting worse as the news of wars and economic collapse are already at our door. To make things grave, many forever lost! But now, lessons must be learned and the wisdom of the past shall carry the world to the future. Over 16 sections and 188 chapters, the book represents the last of the author’s series of COVID-19 as it covers the last year of the pandemic and the most recent events. It represents the author’s views and highlights a wide variety of topics ranging from living stories, medical and political to philosophical views and experiences. Before I knew it, it had infected the world entirely. It was a little invisible for a while and that while was soon overwhelming. It was supposed to pass by swiftly with little to be done. Then it proceeded to be remedied by a face mask for two weeks, followed by just one dose of a vaccine. All the while, the nightmare never ended. It was indeed the worst and most unseen as it caused great harm to multitudes. It was a rare little and so virulent in its form that it would never leave the unresting souls. The everlasting impact of that invisible little was unimaginable worldwide and will be for centuries to come. It has changed our day to day lives for more than two years, shaped our daily living, and will affect our future for decades to come. The little wasn’t least and its effect broke through the limits by controlling the way our people were living and its victims in millions breaking the records of centuries. The little wasn’t the least as the world thought, and was indeed ignored, as many downplayed its sharp spikes until it killed millions and infected hundreds of millions. The Little Was Not The Least any longer when all of sudden my eyes were open and awakened in the middle of the night! The world is living in tears and terrors, broken hearted, and in fear. What is next?’’, I would ask myself, as it appears it is only getting worse as the news of wars and economic collapse are already at our door. The days of the little were miserable to say the least with no shape or form! And to make things grave, many forever lost! I have wished we caught that little" early; attacked and contained, and developed an immediate antidote, but since then, mankind has forever lost the game and it shall be forever in the history books. But now, lessons must be learned and the wisdom of the past shall carry the world to the future. I look at some of these photos, I can’t help it but I cry!

It perhaps the most critical moment where a person is most humble, scared and weak is the moment of sickness and extreme suffering especially about to have a Neurosurgery procedure!

I care much to each one to one and never as a number since each one is 100% in my eyes and in theirs! I pray that I will do the best for them in Jesus Name my Savior and our Healer. The journey is full of worries, concerns, and prayers! And I won’t rest until it is well done as our Master taught us!

It is extremely touching and never forgotten the healing and the act of kindness and compassionate care!

One of the most emotional moments with my patients is in the last visit after surgery is done and recovery is complete!! I bound with them! I cherish them! I believe they are God send to me!

It is always hard to say final goodbye! It is the graduation time from my services while I pray that God continue with them! God always had done a job well done for each of them!

Many leaves part of their hearts with me in a memoir gift! I write their names and I hanged in the office keeping their blessing alive in my practice!! One patient flew to Hawaii and got a beautiful golden chain and Jesus cross and another patient flew to Medjugori, Yugoslavia and got me the blessed last Super!

Unless I hear from them, it is usually the last time they have been seen. And everyone get unto their own life and the busy world! I was, then left with the blessed memory and the prayers they are well in Jesus Name!

It is the first hug and the last hug! But the last hug lasts forever since they are in my thoughts and prayers!

My office is full of them alive with me and testimonials to the Good Lord! May my Lord Jesus continue to bless each of them and always hear great news thereafter!!!

I look at these photos with tears and heartfelt of regrets but mostly joy!

It also make me wonder what the others do when they get confronted with their childhood photos and view their life journeys thus far??

Take a moment today and Pull the photo album of your childhood! Look at those photos with open mind and reflect deeply in the past! Close your eyes and meditate in those days knowing THE PAST MAKES THE FUTURE AND THE FUTURE IS BASED ON THE PAST

Therefore, face the reality of the past, be courageous, salute the successes, learn from the losses, uncover the wrongdoing and faulty decisions! And with unbiased mind with much of learning and wisdom gained so you can enrich your future!

I commonly say: A hard past must proceed a brighter future

It is okay to shed some tears and cry seeing your comfort faded away and those loved ones you have lost and your childhood and younger age passed that fast from under your feet!

In fact, when I was looking at the photos of my past, I remembered the psalmist words: "If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,—I would have never made it!!!!

Psalm 124

If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say; [2] If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us: [3] Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: [4] Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul: [5] Then the proud waters had gone over our soul. [6] Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. [7] Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. [8] Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

I adore my past, present and the future! As I look at the past, God has blessed my soul to welcome the future with thanksgiving and praises in Jesus Name!

I experienced the good and the so thought to be Not that good

My Life journey is full of swings like the pendulum going from one end to the other end and from the so extreme to the other extreme interrupted with so many warnings, alarms and cries but mixed with laughs, songs and hymns!

Yet it is true, life is neither up all the time nor down most of the time but all things get even out at the end!

And we know all things work out for good to them love God: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28 KJV

And whatever you saw you reap sparingly or bountifully: But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. [7] Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give ; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.2 Corinthians 9:6-7 KJV

Days I was walking in straight roads racing in freeways yet jumping over hills in other days. In the same time, the nights were darker but at the valleys much comfort and joy as with the green pasture with my Lord! However, In between, I found myself racing to the extreme praying to win the battle and succeed all the way with honorable A grades!

So friends it isn’t COVID that will stop me or you from living the previous life we have been blessed by a breath of our Heavenly Father! We all had triumphed over so many past challenges and hardships and most importantly the darkest days of our upbringing! Yet those days were still full of Grace! In fact I join many wishing for the early days to come back! Therefore my brethren, better days ahead!

Let us all sing a new song and pray to the Lord of hosts Jesus our Savior and God full of endless Mercy, unlimited forgiveness and innumerable Grace full of infinite Sincere Love as Father to His Own children!

My reflections are written below, 6 months before the COVID pandemic time!!

Praises and thanksgiving mixed with Tears and laughs, sorrows and regrets, gratitude and appreciations: all are overwhelming as I look at my stages of life in photos from 1963. I couldn’t ever believe the days have passed so quickly!! O my Lord! I just can’t believe it!

I was just in my mother womb several days ago, crawling day before, climbing yesterday and now I am racing to depart from my short journey. What memories that have brought me so much tears and put my knees down to remember the steps I followed since my fathers time!

It is a life of maidservant full of Jesus, the Son of God, blessing and grace. It is passing so quickly and at some point shall end praying for mercy in the eyes of my lifetime Partner and love Jesus Christ. Glory to my Lord and lifetime Partner forever and ever more. To You is the Glory, our Lord Jesus Christ our Heavenly Father!

I turn to my Lord Jesus and Heavenly Father: I say: Thank you my Lord and kneel speechless in loving tears worshipping Him in humility to the ground.

I look at my parents in tears and love and I say: For ever grateful as I can’t find words to describe the gratitude, the unconditional Love and unquestionable sacrifice!

I look at my siblings and families and neighbors and I say: Thank you for all what you had done and making me part of you all.

I look at my teachers, mentors and colleagues over the years in tears and love and I say : From the bottom of my heart, thank you and you may be forever blessed.

I look at my residents and students over the years and I say: You are my Pride and harvest! Thank you for letting me part of your future and what an honor to mentor each of you. May you all be forever blessed.

I look at my patients in tears and love and I say: You are my love and real reason of what my mission was and how much I have wished to do more and more, thank you.

It is a Journey set before each human soul, comes with a woman push and a baby cries and perhaps, the only fortunate ones get the opportunity to waive saying goodbye to the loved ones before the last breath!

I gain some but I lost many. I was wrong in much and I missed multitudes! My wish list never got chance to be fulfilled and my dreams were left for tomorrow and tomorrow never came!

I was told so many things about man’s life journey but I just never believed unto the facts during the early ages of my youth. And when I began to realize them, my journey crossing the planet of earth came to an end!

The dreams of my life journey were so much and I only achieved so little! The time was so short and my life was two digits only. My service to humanity wasn’t counted but God’s mercy was countless! I just wished to remain as a little child all my life as my God formed me in the womb of my mother: cute pictures of my childhood are irreplaceable and dearest!

However the best part of my life Journey is my Lord Jesus and His children. I was honored to live among His creation. There was no time passed by without witnessing the Mighty Hand and tasting His Love.

Draw me I will run after thee! O thou whom my soul love the, let Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth: for thy love is better than wine—, I am black, but comly! Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.3 Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.4 Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.5 I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.6 Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother’s children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.7 Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions? (Song of Sings 1: 7)

Jesus is my True Love, I was born to be His pride and I shall end in His Bosom according to His mercy, I pray. O my God, I am not worthy! O my Lord, you brought me Love and life, peace and joy and now make me worthy for more and more. In your hands I commit my soul, I love you so but I am fully aware that I won’t pass your just judge at That Day! Have mercy upon me and all the human souls, Amen

Grace to Our Savior and God Jesus Christ!! Grace To God Almighty that overshadowed my soul all those years.

In December 8th Day of December 2021 I Ramsis Ghaly was Awarded The Certificate Of Appreciation In Recognition Of 35 Years of Service at Cook County Health.

What an honor to serve the Greater Chicago Metropolitan nationwide the only government County Level I Renown Trauma center internationally known with all the those in need insured and uninsured, American and non-Americans, all races, all Ethnic background, all equal regardless and never ever deny care to no one walking to its door. I remember the early days where the homeless were occupying the first floor of the old hospital and the mission to serve all regardless of their color and wallets! I was there when we had nothing, and we had much and in between!!!

By Now, I probably the most senior in resuscitation of all trauma violence victims for all those years straight. With the grace of God, I am perhaps more than any doctor ever served in any Military/ heavy duty Army worldwide. I worked in a constant battlefield and constant nonstop bombardments of gunshots, stabs, explosions for 35 years straight.

Thank you to Israel Rocha Jr, Chief Executive Officer, Valerie Amos, Chief Human Resources Officer and Linh Dang, Chief Experience Officer. Thank you to our department Anesthesiology and Pain Management staff attending and our chairman Dr Gannidy Voronov Chief of Perioperative Services Dr Richard Keene, Dr Abayomi Akintorin, Chief of Medical Staff, Dr Claudia Fegan Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Obrien Chief Graduate medical education, Dr Rudi Kumapley, Medical Director I extend extreme appreciation to Cook County Health System, to each of you and most importantly to our patients.

The Little Wasn’t The Least

It was just a little and wasn’t much. And before I knew it, it was gone!

It was a little while and that while was soon no more!!

It was that little that was magnificent, and I didn’t know at that time unfortunately!!

It was indeed a sparkling little, but it did leave an imprinted remarks in my bone marrows!

Every day I think about that little and dream for it to come back! But it would never be back!

Because it was rare little and unique in its form, it will never leave my unrested mind!

It turned out that little would only come once at a lifetime!

And when it comes, it goes and who could grasp that little???

Where did that little come from and where did it go? And what was the little all about?

The little wasn’t the least as I thought and hence, I totally ignored it! In fact, I didn’t recall confronting the little at all until that event had occurred!

And all of sudden my eyes were open and awakened in the middle of the night!

I will never forget that night when I screamed in tears as I saw in the vision that little!! I couldn’t believe myself and since then, I feel dismal burying my head in the sand!

No matter where I go and how fast I run, I can’t catch that little anymore!

I found myself running away and I can’t help it! And it isn’t help the situation! Whom to I report to? What is the remedy other than running away! For how long a man can run away from himself??

I am now in tears living with the fact that I no longer will ever see that little any longer! Indeed, I lost the only silver coin I had and the Pearl of the Great Price!

I am now considered among the losers of the universe and the Boat of life took me at a spot where there will be never a return!

It was just a little and it came to my life and was gone that fast! I didn’t take advantage of it! I ignored it! I was busy with so many things! I didn’t notice at all! It didn’t wait for me! Now I am miserable with no shape or form! And to make things worse I am forever lost!!

Friends if you ever catch that little, please grasp it and do not let it go! Don’t be reckless like myself and let the little slide by you! If you do let it slide, you have forever lost the game and it shall be forever the end!!! And if you do let the little go unnoticed, you will be regretting the remaining years of your life like myself!

It is the Beginning of Sorrows!

It is That Time to Test the Faith, Love, Humility and Sacrifice!

Who shall ever imagine that a tiny viral particle made through man be the very first step to destroy nan and mark the Beginning of Sorrows! And be realized shall in the world history as just that!!

Don’t be naive! Look around and see, hear, smell and touch the signs of the coming days! There is no end to the escalating events and the world shall enter unto more wars among the hidden spirits and the powers of Good and evil! Therefore wake up and bundle up!

As the darkness competes with the goodness so is the coming times! Be in the watch and ready! It shall be no return as the darkness is slowly taking over much of the land and the news!

It was once known as a stable world soon shall the entire world to experience a chaotic one! More and more variants, diseases, fires, wars,—! Many have thought, they are unreachable above all powers and science’s grandiosity of being untouchable and man’s intelligence able to conquer the universe and all of what is in it! While many are running away from the Truth, the Way and the True Light and going after their lusts!!

There are already many unexpected external powers shaking the nations and so is darkness and satanic forces are in frontline!

There shall be more and more rise of powers and shall Destabilize the once known to be prosperous world!

It is the beginning of sorrows! The world shall witness the uprise of wars, immorality, inequities wherever dark spirits find place! As it is written; For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. [8] All these are the beginning of sorrows. [12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Matthew 24:7-8,12 KJV

Many shall take advantage and attempt to run away to the limits of the universe! Yet it shall be no escape!

The turmoil indeed shall continue and so is the intensity of tribulations as the new phase be displayed!

Habakkuk 1:13

Your eyes are too pure to approve evil,

And You can not look on wickedness with favor.

Why do You look with favor

On those who deal treacherously?

Why are You silent when the wicked swallow up

Those more righteous than they?

It is indeed a test the faith, love, humility and sacrifice!

Nonetheless, as the children of God sojourning through the new changing world and powers of darkness taking the lead, OPEN your EYES and SEE as it is written:

Zephaniah 3:17

"The Lord your God is in your midst,

A victorious warrior.

He will exult over you with joy,

He will be quiet in His love,

He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.

So let us pray with the Psalmist:

Psalm 28:1
