Reviews for What the Hell is Long Covid
1 rating1 review
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Definitely the most candid book about long covid, not gonna be for everyone but this guy packs a lot of wisdom into a hundred pages, a good balance between personal experience and research and the author is very intentional about delineating between what parts are backed by science and what parts are his perspective. At the end he includes this weird bit about religion that seems like it comes from left field but there's so much good information in the book that I just kinda let that one slide.

What the Hell is Long Covid - Christopher Williams
CHAPTER 1: COVID AND YOU
You likely already had Covid. You may be done with Covid, but Covid isn’t done with you.
If you’ve picked up a copy of this book, you’ve probably already heard about Long Covid.¹ That makes you one step ahead of most Americans, at least at the time of publishing of this book. I have no doubt, however, as time goes on, more and more people will be rudely and mercilessly confronted with the burning question: what the HELL is Long Covid?
You obsess about stuff; that’s how you handle it,
my wife tells me. She’s right. When out of the blue, relatively-healthy-me gradually deteriorated – two hernias, two (at least) hyper-autoimmune diseases, a 50-lb plummet in one month, and an ugly splatter of other dramatic mystery
health issues – I obsessed over it: what the HELL was going on? It certainly was hellish – I have very little doubt that had I not obsessed, my life insurance agent would have been getting a call. But I learned. Boy, did I learn. A lot.
I can’t give you medical advice. I can’t explain to you how to heal in your exact situation. But I can tell you my story, how this Covid thing works², and what I’ve learned – and you can decide what’s helpful and what’s not. I’m a lawyer, not a doctor – but unlike your average doctor, I’ve been there. This is not conjecture for me – this is vividly-painful experience. I call it like I see it: to the one battling Long Covid, the eyeball-rolling polarization that surrounds Covid conversations is really not helpful. I just want to heal. I don’t care if it’s unpopular in the media to take horse de-wormer,
or Vitamin D, if it works. If the magic healing ingredient
for me turned out to be wandering around downtown Boston yelling the Patriots SUCK,
well, at this point, I would do it (I’m not endorsing this by the way, you might be gifted a condition worse than even Long Covid). For me, Long Covid was and is absolute hell.
But maybe it doesn’t seem that way for you. You’ve had Covid – one and done (or two or three and done if you’ve had it a couple times, meh). Yeah sure, some people get Long Covid,
but it’s rare, and you’ve clearly dodged the bullet.
I have bad news: You haven’t.
You see, everyone thinks Covid
is what they’ve seen on the facebooks and youtubes. For some, Covid
was indeed fatal; for most, Covid
seemed to be more or less a bad cold or a flu. But here’s my bad news: that’s not Covid.
You’re the captain of the Titanic, and you’ve triumphantly dodged the iceberg…
That thing you and I saw (and see) all over the social news is properly labeled Acute Covid.
But once you understand how Covid actually works – and, because I obsess, I had to – it’ll hit you like a tomato on the stage: Acute Covid
is just the tip of the iceberg. It’s not even what this whole thing is about – it’s the preview before the real movie. This little virus was packaged to go waaaay beyond that initial stage – the real villainy happens quietly, over a long time, without you and I even realizing it. Unless of course, like me, we’re suddenly sledgehammered in the face with a mystery
health condition – what the hell is this?
It’s called Long Covid,
my friends. Welcome to a Strange New World.
CHAPTER 2: HOW DO I PUT THIS – IT’S A BIOWEAPON
"But Chris – isn’t that controversial?" (That it’s a bioweapon).
No, not really, not at this point. And even if it were, I just want to heal – I want the truth, and so do you. I know, you know, we all know. It’s a bioweapon.³
I feel it’s important to lead with this, for two critical reasons:
1. Taking it seriously: By now, everyone knows it’s a bioweapon, but for whatever reason few think about what that actually means. Stop and think a minute: if Covid was designed in a lab, fine-tuned to infect and injure humans (you!), don’t you think JUST MAYBE it’s a bit more devious than you thought? Maybe? Maybe it might be designed to trick and hijack your immune system, and rip you up without you realizing it? Maybe?
2. Understanding how to detox: If it’s a bioweapon (and it is), you’re in a war – and you must know your enemy in order to beat it. Stop talking about natural immunity,⁴ blah blah blah – it may be relevant, but it’s not even close to the whole picture. This isn’t a natural virus! Do you seriously think that someone is going to waste their time and design a bioweapon that doesn’t trick your immunity in certain ways? You need to understand what you’re doing and why, instead of just downing a few supplements you read about and hoping for the best (that’s what this book is for, by the way).
Well, now that we’ve opened with that ice-breaker, I feel like we can start the party.
We know that Covid is a bioweapon. At the beginning there was back-and-forth about that, but apparently the science has changed on that as well. So let’s talk bioweapons.
When most people think bioweapons, they think Hollywood, e.g. Mission Impossible. They think gas masks. They think of something like EBOLA.
Sure – certain bioweapon designs involve dramatic foaming-at-the-mouth asphyxiated death. This would probably especially be true for bioweapons targeted at opposing military forces.
But set that aside, because that’s not what we’re dealing with here. This is different. We may or may not have documentary evidence of intent, but we do have real-world evidence of the effect of this virus, enough to make this chilling statement: this virus was not designed to target military opposition. The Covid bioweapon was designed to target you. And your wife. And your babies. And your community.
But why? I’m sure someone could write a wonderful book on this topic, and it certainly is a worthy topic. But it’s not a topic for this book. Theoretically, Covid’s design is a eugenicist’s dream. But I’m not going to dive in here and start talking about the chimeric-SARS DEFUSE DARPA grant app; I’m not going to ideate about Dr. Ralph Baric’s gain-of-function studies or patents; I’m not going to examine why a synthetic cancer-causing gene sequence patented in 2017 by Moderna is built-in to the SARS COV-2 virus⁵ – do your own research and come up with your own conclusions. I will say this: did we learn absolutely nothing from the previous century? The century known for mass programs of population culling,
genocides, and etc.? That lesson is still within literal living memory, and in certain places is still ongoing. In our own country, one can literally meander on down to Elbert County, Georgia, and enjoy a creepy afternoon of reading the bizarre Georgia Guidestones,
40-year old monolithic stones inscribed with various agenda, one of which, chillingly, is to reduce and maintain the world population under 500,000,000⁶ in perpetual balance with nature.
Draw your own conclusions – the point is, if an intentional population die-off
startles you, you probably need to pay closer attention to the topics not proffered by AP.
There’s also a corollary that goes along with this all: there’s been a clear media blitz that has driven people into two very clear and distinct camps. Again – I think it strains credulity to argue that this too wasn’t by design, but someone else can talk about that if they want. For now, I’d just like to admit: I was fooled. I was taken for a ride. You see, these two camps are as follows: (1) adhere to every over-amped hyper-fearful statement of the media, or (2) ignore Covid more or less completely. I happened to fall into the second category, but quite frankly, both categories were hoodwinked. There’s a third category that, after you read this book, I hope you’ll fall into, namely one who: (3) recognizes that Covid is a bioweapon, and has to be defended against, but responds correctly, without living in fear or participating in meaningless gestures that don’t really do anything to protect anyone against anything. What fools these mortals be.
Don’t be fooled, like I was.
It's a bioweapon, my friends – treat it like one.
CHAPTER 3: COVID AND ME
This is, unfortunately, all too concretely my story.
I wish this book were just a discussion of Covid in the abstract – going on and on about statistics, studies, and the struggles of other people. But here’s where I hope you can benefit – you can learn by hearing what happened to me, before you let Covid work any further on you.
A year ago, if someone had said, hey, you need to detox after you get Covid, and aggressively block future Covid infections
I would have said, yeah, thanks. Meh.
Maaaaan.
If you’re still sort of thinking along those lines, hold your horses. Because once you finally come to understand how this bioweapon was designed to work, you might rethink your Meh.
I’ve certainly had ample time to reconsider, trust me.
Covid has all but destroyed me – I’m fairly certain I’ve heard a scythe-toting skeleton knocking at my door at certain points. As I write, I’m still battling this thing; I’d love to wait until all is said and done until I publish this. But I’m writing this now because here, time is of the essence. This is the book I wish I had had a year ago. What convicts me to write
