Four months ago, the Covid-19 coronavirus was still somewhat of an abstract concept. We watched the virus spread in Europe, hitting Italy particularly hard at first, making it the global epicentre of the virus at the time. We counted ourselves fortunate to be at the southern tip of Africa with relatively few infections and not many deaths.
Today, I don’t think there is anyone who doesn’t know someone who has contracted the virus, a family mourning a death
