What is meditation?
Meditation is the act in which a person uses techniques such as mindfulness, or concentrating their mind on a specific object, person, thought, or activity. Meditation trains attention and awareness and obtains a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.

According to scholars, meditation is elusive to define since meditation practices are different for various traditions. Meditation is typical in several religious traditions. The earliest records of meditation (dhyana) are present in the ancient Hindu texts called Vedas. Meditation plays a significant role in the contemplative repertoire of Buddhism and Hinduism.
Starting from the 19th Century, Asian meditative techniques have been adopted by other cultures where they have also found application in non-spiritual contexts like
