    Reader Advisory

This is a work of erotic science fiction, and a very rude one at that. Intended exclusively for an adult audience, it graphically depicts scenes of a highly sexual nature and situations of peril/horror.

Dr Natalie Cooper had been running ground-side recruitment for Integrated Neopharm for ten years, and in that time she had interviewed nearly five thousand potential candidates for the Xenoplantation Programme.

The vast majority of them hadn’t made the cut.

There were many reasons why a candidate might turn out not to be suitable, and Natalie had seen them all. The medical record and background checks weeded out countless thousands before they even got to the interview stage, but even then a candidate could stumble.

Some of the reasons for failure were practical.

For example, candidates could fail the biocompatibility test. After all, it was no good trying to swell your belly with alien eggs if the merest touch of them caused your airway to swell up instead.

Candidates could be excluded if they admitted something not on the record, such as a previously-unrecorded contact with an alien creature. That pretty much ruled out anybody from one of the outer colonies.

Candidates could also be excluded for having had sex without a purity seal - the Programme only took them intact and legal. Fresh wombs only for alien implantation.

But the main reasons for exclusion were psychological.

Natalie had seen all of those types too.

Too much obsession with the money, or the reproduction licence, those would get you excluded, because the Programme didn’t want anybody so desperate they would compromise their judgement. So nobody too seriously invested in the rewards would pass muster.

Then, on the flipside, there were the thrill-seekers, the refugees from life, the wasters and the lightweights. If you didn’t take the Programme seriously enough, then you weren’t wanted either.

And that left the sexual attitudes.

It was no good taking anybody who was repelled by the thought of intimate contact with an alien, for obvious reasons. They wouldn’t last, and it was expensive to repatriate women five minutes after they arrived and realised they couldn’t cut it. But it was also Natalie’s job to weed out the ones who wanted it too much.

Even after ten years, it still amazed her that there were people out there who actually got a kick from the idea of sex with aliens.

The cultists were the worst. Religious sects whose prophets and priests taught that the aliens were sent to be their masters, and it was every girl’s pious duty to get herself impregnated. Or that the only true path to enlightenment was through the pursuit of sexual ecstasy with something tentacled. There were a thousand different reasons, for a thousand different cults, and that was before you considered all the people who wanted to give it a try because they thought
