Dr. D was born to Evelyn Smith, a single mother who stressed the importance of hard work. More importantly her mother instilled the critical foundation of an ever-growing relationship with God, always providing words of wisdom and pushing for excellence. Sundays were church days. As a child she enjoyed singing, travelling, and indulging in the Word of God. Becoming a business owner and professional writer were early aspirations. Reading much of Khalil Gibran's literature, the role of "The Prophet" carried deep significance. Dr. D went on to study at the Canadian College of Science and Technology, receiving certification as an Early Childhood Education and later studied Incident Management, Emergency Management and Practical Interview at George Brown College.

A personal relationship with God encountered new depths after a near-death experience, one which she describes as the moment God revealed Himself and explained her purpose: to heal and spread the Word. Not long after, she began to see and feel life beyond the worldly realm. Viewing spiritually and not with the naked eye was where she tapped into her gift of delivering herbal remedies with extreme healing power.

Dr. D believes her purpose is to deliver God's Word, even to those who aren't looking for Him. Providing sound counsel and direction from above, she continues to be used as an instrument and vessel of peace. She devotes her success to the most High, blessing all creeds, races, and souls directed to her care.

When she is not infiltrating the spirits of others with positivity and love, Dr. D is usually spending time with God, her three daughters, and family; reading; and keeping an open ear for direction from Jesus. She expresses a continued passion for building healthy homes, helping the less fortunate and sick, and staying involved with the Family Rescue International Ministry.

When asked about the legacy she is creating, she describes "a God-fearing woman who loves and respects her creator Jesus, full of compassion, love and dedication to always put others first." She prays that her children will continue her work long after she leaves this earth. Dr. D is currently working on a series of books and projects to come, naming her most recent book Herbal Healing of the Nation: the story of her spiritual reckoning and healing, purposed to reach the world, tell the world, and show the world the power, love and glory of God.

I, Prophetess Dr. D, was born to Evelyn Smith, a true fighter and amazing single mother. I have three beautiful girls of my own, Princess Akofa, Angel, and little Miracle, whom I share with Leroy Miller. I also have two sisters—Bernadette Smith-Johnson, who is a pastor; and Naomi Ralph, a minister of Family Rescue International Ministries—and a brother, HAILE Ancient, who is a professional conscious reggae singer and songwriter. All of whom I love and appreciate, and who will always stand by me in good and bad times during the darkest moments in my life.The drive behind this book was not of my own. I received direction from the Holy Spirit, God, who directed me to begin this journey. My mom (a strong Woman of God), sisters, and close family held me accountable and saw to it that it was completed as per God's design.When I was a little child, I was always able to see things that no one else saw. I remember seeing my great-grandmother, who had long left this earth, scared with no place that felt safe and no one who understood. Years later a close experience with death helped me reckon with my uncomfortable and unfamiliar calling. As the doctors explained to my mother that there was nothing more they could do for me, she fought for the outcome that was rooted in her faith in God. My family prayed tirelessly, and instead of lying on that hospital bed, Jesus showed me the world in a way I have never seen before. He stretched forth his hands and lifted me up and said, "My daughter, I am not ready for you as yet, I need for you to go back and tell the world what I have done for you. I am the great I am that I am, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Introduction

Identifying My Spiritual Gift and How it Has Helped My Church, Others, and Myself

Discovering your-my spiritual gifts doesn’t take a lot of detective work. You-we just need to know what to look for. One of the best ways to discern spiritual gifts is to get involved in a variety of ministry experiences.

As for me, since I was a little child growing up, the Lord Jesus came to me in dreams and visions to let me know what he has chosen me to do and show me things before they happen. When I have warned others, the events that God shows me I eventually happened just as I told them they would. This has occurred numerous times. I have also seen things of myself and close friends and family that I would not have known unless God showed it to me. I never really understand at the time why this was happening. As I grew, the anointing of God-Jesus grew with me, and he has never left me. He has always been with me, guiding me in everything. I never really understood this gift; then it came much clearer and the Holy Spirit-Jesus showed me the people who were sick and the medication they needed.

The first person that was shown to me was my mother, Evelyn Smith, and when I told her what I had seen, people from all walks of life shows up spiritually in front of me with their sickness and problems and I was able to help them with God’s help. I began to feel so scared of the gift because I was not totally in tune with God and what he was trying to tell me or use me for. Oh, how I remember those sleepless nights when the Lord Jesus would speak to me and show me people who were going to fall into problems or who were already dealing with certain problems. Jesus would ask me to get up and pray for them. I was also shown people who were about to die or sickly, and I have seen where it came to pass.

Then one day I was at my church, Family Rescue International Ministry, where my sister is the pastor—Pastor Bernadette Smith-Johnson. No one had ever seen God-Jesus moved within me like that. I was prophesying to visitors at my church, strange people who I had never met before, and the words was just flowing from my mouth with the power of God. God-Jesus used me to say things to them that no one else ever knew about them. One day, a lady I have never seen before visited, and after the prophecy went forth, that she has been bleeding for quite awhile now nonstop, she then confirmed that the prophecy is true, she had been bleeding for a year nonstop.
