Helena Graham straightened her blazer as she sat at the waiting room, her eyes trained upon the clock opposite her. She was five minutes early for her first day at her new job, and today was the day that her boss would orient her to her new place of work. She was terribly excited.

Helena was accustomed to being the best at everything, and she couldn't wait to prove herself to her new boss. She sat eagerly in her chair, counting down the minutes until 9:00 AM. She was a shoo-in for the position, having graduated with flying colors from the California Institute of Technology's Chemistry program. However, that didn't mean that she wasn't eager to show her mettle.

At 9:05 AM, her new boss showed up with a cup of tea from the cafeteria. Helena rose to her feet respectfully as Mr. Dewitt exchanged a few words with his secretary before turning to her.

Good morning, sir, Helena said with a smile.

Ah, yes! Good morning, Miss Graham, Mr. Dewitt replied, returning her smile. He was a man in his 50's with a beard as white as Santa's. Welcome to your first day at work. Mrs. Pierce will show you to your office, and then she'll take you on a tour of the facilities.
