CHAPTER 1

The farmer Barton awoke to the shouts of his son. Father!

The father gathered at the window with his son looking out at an old man carrying a satchel and holding a walking cane. He looked like just any regular old man. Once acquainting, the wizard placed his hand on the dirt and did a prayer. He lifted his staff, saying, Watch out.

The father set his son aside. Suddenly, there was a rumble in the sky, and black clouds forming. Birds scattered and a lightning bolt ripped down into the ground.
