Hope
This is not a long story. It is a short journey of a single but turbulent day in Mexico, but it becomes a true education about our neighbors. They are so close to our own world of happiness and plenty, yet their own is a strange world of poverty, sadness, and fear.
Whether we must walk the streets of Mexico to just survive or climb endless steps searching for courage and success, we must believe that hope for a better tomorrow lives within the hearts of all of us.
In a world of uncertainty and fear of the unknown, this journey is a call to those who still have their own dreams of a better tomorrow and the courage to tell the world of doubters:
It is All Right to Be Different, and to Be Happy with Who You Are.
Thank You
To Annie:
my true Angel, my Inspiration to jump over impossible fences no matter how tall, my Unconditional Love for over 56 years, and still counting.
To David W. Evans:
whose own writing skills added much to the flair and reality of the turbulent events of this single day in Mexico, and who enhanced the story with a vibrant history lesson of simpler times.
To my father:
who taught me to be self-reliant and that I must create whatever I needed in life to survive.
To my mother:
who always told me I was just a dreamer. She was absolutely right.
