About this ebook
This deeply moving collection of poetry embodies a philosopher lyrically explaining her heart, how each beat is completely different, and not every beat is filled with love. In the still and silence of one's heart, a different type of beauty can be found. Jacqueline E. Lane's poems do not spring from normal thoughts, but she has never been one t
Jacqueline E. Danforth Lane
Jacqueline E. Lane was born in an impoverished country town in Quebec Canada, surrounded by golden wheat fields and plentiful farmland. As the seventh daughter of twelve children to a steelworker and homemaker, and having been born partially deaf, Jacqueline was very much a loner. Silence became her normal. She would lean her head against a radio to feel the vibration of instruments playing, dreaming of hearing their voices. One of her few joys and comforts was running into the tall wheat fields and drifting away to a world of writing, where she found her voice and could express herself in secret thoughts. During her early years, Jacqueline endured many trials and tribulations, leaving her with deep personal and emotional scars. Her search for her own identity brought her an appetite for faith. After completing her education she left her hometown, feeling the urge to explore the meaningfulness of life...or anything else for that matter. Unfortunately, she found that following the path of one's heart is rarely as simple as one hopes. Now widowed and a retired teacher living in West Hollywood, California, Jacqueline has three beautiful sons and an amazing granddaughter. Her heart has a lot to share of her past and present experiences with loneliness, hidden tales of a lost sunshine that never came to be. A woman's heart is like a deep ocean of secrets, far more below the surface than one can truly ever see.
