Human: Breaking, Healing and Flourishing
()
About this ebook
Human illustrates the raw essence of life's experiences through learning to love yourself and others, growing from heartbreak, fighting mental illness, as well as learning to become the process of healing. This is a novel filled with artistic ideas, romance, passion, and personal growth. Human is a collection of wonder, art, and self-healing.
This is my first-ever poetry book, which will be followed by many more. To me, poetry is a way to tell a story in an artistic style to create a piece of art that connects people who may share a similar experience, and I want this novel to become a connection for people. I want to create something that may become a creative outlet for others, whether you love writing or love reading. Poetry is meant to inspire the heart and awaken the soul. This novel was created to add to a collection of poetry or bring you to the beginning of your journey through poetry.
This novel was created to inspire, motivate, relax, and guide you through a process of healing, self-discovery, and learning to understand others, as each piece illustrates a few ideas of what it means to be human.

I began writing poetry when I was about 13 years old. It is my way of dealing with stress and anxiety. I am a young aspiring author and I've wanted to publish a book for a long time, and something about the Covid-19 lockdown gave me the time and the courage to do so. Throughout high school I was involved in a writers' club where we would discuss each other's work, and this was the first time I had shared my work with anyone. I had also joined the Literary Café, where we would showcase our best work, and I had learned how incredible it felt to have people simply enjoy your work without tearing you down for doing something that you love. The poems in this book were written from the age of 13 to the age of 19 and are little pieces of who I am today. These pieces are based on all types of personal experiences, where I had to learn about both myself and others.

Dedicated to all of life’s experiences, to the ones who come and go, to the ones still learning to love themselves, to the ones in love, to the ones falling apart.
This one’s for you.
To the one’s searching for something beautiful in this world,
Look within,
It was you all along.
My first love was poetry,
Years later,
Every time the pen touched the paper,
Grazing my lover’s skin,
I’m
