At the foremost center of its core, this book is dedicated to my daughters. I would like them to see this body of work and know firstly that they can do whatever they set their minds and hearts to. I would like them to understand that Greatness lives within them and all they have to do is believe that they can and will achieve all their aspirations. It is my greatest desire that they will read these words in good times and in bad, knowing that Life is not fair, and it will overcome them at times, but they must not give up, by any means necessary.

Above all things, I need them to understand that I will not always be here, but these words will transcend time and be echoed throughout history. They will always have a piece of me within these pages, and my spirit will remain with them as long as they remember my words.

I wrote this book also for anyone who has ever been down and feel like they cannot get back up. My hope is to encourage someone in the valley and to let them know that the fight is not over until it is over.

Far too often, I have heard the expression throw me to the wolves and I will return leading the pack. And although it’s quite obvious what message is being conveyed here, it is a saying that has been used way too loosely because no one truly understands the magnitude of power that it holds. As one who is universe-centered and a firm believer in the Creative capabilities of who we are, I stand behind the notion that we have the power to manifest what we believe, despite the current circumstances we may be facing. Many people in today’s society are going through some adversity. Some they speak on, some they endure silently, whether it be because their pride is not only their virtue but also their vice.... or they simply have not unlocked the art of the bounce-back that is so innately embedded in our genetic fiber.

Have you ever found yourself in a predicament where the walls have caved in, up is nowhere in sight, all the odds are stacked against you and not only do you lack the knowledge to combat these adversities, but you also have no will to fight? And how about the times when a call-to-action was imperative? You’ve choked on indecision and risk-taking was never your strong suit. You have found yourself in unfamiliar territory because the level of your qualification has not yet risen to meet the demand of the situation. Action is necessary, and the only word you can think of is defeat. If you have not had a moment like this in your life, keep living. It’s coming. We all face them.
