Introduction
God has openly made available to us salvation, forgiveness, authority, power, armor, His Holy Spirit, and so much more. People may be aware of these things but are not sure how to apply them to their lives. May this book be a guide to help you live up to the amazing standard God has set for your life. A life of freedom, sonship, authority, and hope.
God did not leave us orphans; He sent us His Holy Spirit, who would give us remembrance of the words that Jesus spoke here on the earth and that He is still speaking to us. Jesus said in John 16:13 (NKJV), However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
The Holy Spirit speaks throughout the Bible, even after the death and resurrection of Jesus. He also speaks to us in our prayer time and in our everyday life. It is amazing to hear the words of Jesus, but hearing and living them are two different things. Yes, the Word of God is for you!
Sometimes the Bible scriptures are read over, but not grasped or delved into so that they’re understood. When studying the Word, we must take the scriptures and root them in our heart, mind, and soul, meaning we must believe in them. In order to keep standing in this fight daily, it is vital that we have the Word of God as our foundation, that we believe the scriptures no matter what we see or experience in the physical realm. Remember, the spiritual realm existed before the physical one; the physical world came from the spiritual. God’s Word is the final authority in heaven and earth. Like on earth, we have laws—for example, you stop at a red light and you go at a green one; you don’t steal or break any laws because there are penalties for doing so. Breaking the law means something is done that’s illegal. It’s the same thing in the spirit realm; there is illegal activity done against the believer, and guess what—we have the rule book and must exercise our authority and proclaim the written Word and arrest the oppressor, the adversary!
Satan comes to kill, steal, and destroy, and these are considered illegal activities according to God’s Word. The enemy comes to oppress—to bring anxiety, division, and a ton of other things to destroy our joy, peace, and loving heart toward one another and even our heart toward God. There are Christians whom the enemy has handicapped and as a result do not live to the full potential of God’s best. But Jesus.
Jesus has done it all for us at the cross of Calvary. As born-again believers, we have the right to walk in authority, with our heads held high, and knowing that we are filled with the power of the Holy Ghost. We sit in heavenly places with Christ Jesus, and we are joint heirs with Christ. Let’s take a look at those verses:
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us
