Also, a big thank you to my children, who all had Faith in me throughout the whole process of writing this book. You may not understand what I have been through, but I survived. I love you: Brittney, Jocelyn & Christina Wilson.
Chapter 1 Christianity
There are many reasons that Christians don’t remain Christians these days. People have a fear of Christianity because they associate it with fear of dying. They don’t want to hear that they are going to either Heaven or Hell. They want to live the life that they have and live it to the fullest. Whatever will happen tomorrow will just happen, right? No one can change the past so why worry about it. Just live for the future.
Is that how you think? God says not to worry. Matthew 6:27-29. Can all your worries add a single minute to your life? Why do you worry about your clothes? See the lilies in the field and how they grow. They do not work or make their clothes, and yet Solomon was not dressed as beautifully as they are in all his glory. Proverbs 12:25 Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word can cheer them up.
Supporters of the Christian religion base their principles on the life, teachings and death of their savior Jesus Christ. They believe in one God that created all things. Christians believe that the Messiah
is the son of God.
Many believe that Christianity has frightened children all over the world through shocking representations of the end of the world and the suffering that they will endure if they are left behind. Others believe that Christianity is all about dishonesty. The Christian plea to fear or to have weakness is an admittance that the proof behind Christian thinking is far from solid, and finally the fear of Satan and the fiery Hell.
Why is it that when you talk to God it is considered a prayer, but when God replies people think that you are crazy? God does answer prayers, right?
We live in a nation that is uninterested in religion. In America, most individuals at least know who Jesus is, but many of them don’t categorize themselves as being Christian.
People who claim that they are Christians can still have problems; one of the biggest of them is being sexually unfaithful to their spouse, due to a deep obsession with sex and pornography. In the Catholic Church they believe that sex is only for reproducing. As Protestant Christians consider sex wrong if it is before marriage, homosexuality, or even impure thoughts about sex, and that doing these things can send us on a road straight to Hell.
The Bible is the only glorious, foolproof, and authoritative written Word of God. There is only one God, everlastingly alive in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Christians believe in the divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His innocent birth, in His life without sin, in His miracles, in His abnormal and expiating death, in His bodily resurrection, in His rising to the right hand of the Father, in His return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years.
Spiritual healing and deliverance come by the redemptive work of Christ on the cross. Spiritual healing, which is recognized in numerous early religions, has been a belief of Spiritualism since its beginning. Today, the importance of spiritual healing is very important for a healthy soul.
Isaiah 53:5 says, By His wounds we are healed.
Jeremiah 30:17 For I will restore health to you, and
