About this ebook
Carl Wayne Whitecotton is just your average guy. He worked a union factory job and used weekends to catch up on chores around the house and yard. He worked as much overtime as he could to stash money away for the unexpected events in life that many face at the worst moments. Whitecotton snuck in and out of church with his family and never knew Jesus. When he was faced with death, Jesus stepped in and changed this ordinary man’s life forever.
In When Heaven Meets Earth, Whitecotton shares the story of his Christian journey, his cancer diagnosis and battle, the miracles he has witnessed, and how Jesus saved his life.
Through his testimony, Whitecotton encourages others to seek a friendship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, and to get the fire inside raging for more Jesus. When Heaven Meets Earth chronicles one man’s story of how a relationship with Jesus has made all the difference.

The Card-Punching Christian
I believed that I was a strong Christian. I had an amazing wife and four awesome children. We were saved and baptized, went to church most Sundays, and got our cards punched as members who, yes, were there.
We could slip in and out of church without too many people noticing that we were there. We never got involved in events, dinners, Bible studies, or other activities, and we avoided talking to anyone other than to say good morning to the door greeter if he spoke first. I was happy with our church attendance and believed God expected nothing more of us.
Then on a November day four and a half years ago, I got sick. It changed my life and my family members’ lives forever.
In writing this book, I hope to encourage you to seek a friendship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, and to get the fire inside you raging for more Jesus. No matter what you do, you can never have enough Jesus. This is my testimony.
