    Preface

This book! This book! Whew! If you only knew what it has taken for me to write this book you would magnify God with me. This book was birthed in me many years ago. I have been in awe of how challenging this process has been. It has taken me to some places that if I am honest, I did not want to go. It brought back some painful moments, some faithless times, and some testimonies. But through it all, I pray that God will be glorified. Through this process, I have seen God break many strongholds off me. Through my obedience, God has opened some doors and through my obedience, I have found deliverance.

I have always wanted God to use me. I just did not think it would be through writing or speaking. My heartbeat is for people to enter His presence one way and never be the same again. With this book, Jesus has used my mistakes, my hurts, hang-ups, and habits as a testimony. My prayer is that as you read this book, you too will be transformed. As you read this book, my desire is that the Holy Spirit will do a work on your mind and in your heart. I hope you are delivered not by anything that Monica has said, but that you are changed by the power of Jesus.

This book is dedicated to my Savior, Jesus the Christ! If you only knew my story, you would know that He is the only reason why I am here. Jesus is my rock. He is my friend. He understands me. He loves me. He forgives me. He shields me. He strengthens me. He chastises me when I do wrong. There will never be another Jesus. The one who has ransomed me. He has captured my heart. I love Him! There is truly nobody like you, Lord! Your Word is true when it says it will go forth and it will not return to you void. Your Word will accomplish that which you have set it out to accomplish. It heals, corrects, sets free, encourages, and reminds us of who we are and who You are. Jesus, I thank you. All the glory belongs to you.

    May God’s Blessings Overflow You,

By his wounds you have been healed."

    The Discovery

2017 had been a trying year already. However, I must take you back a few months to December 2016. This is my birthday month, so I always have high expectations. Even though things were going good in all areas of my life, unfortunately, it did not stay that way. In my personal life, a person who was a close friend left my life. He went ghost. No explanation. No nothing. This was not only devastating but very disappointing. Then here comes 2017. Within just a matter of months, I had disassociated myself with some people at work. I had stress in my personal and professional life. Then I had nagging headaches.

This pounding headache just would not go away. Here it is almost a week and no relief. April 2017, I started to get a little concerned that this throbbing in my head had not ceased. On my way to a nearby clinic, I’m sitting in the waiting room thinking, Lord, I’m sure I just have a really bad migraine. I had been super stressed out at work, my personal life had been turned upside down as it seemed and now, I’m here.

The doctor says you have a severe migraine. Immediately, I said, Duh! as I thought to myself. He prescribed some medicine. Then before he left, he asked me, How long has your eye been that red? I said, What eye? My eye is not red! He said, Yes, it is. I looked in the mirror and said, Oh, I’m sure it’s nothing, I’m just tired. Then, I got my prescriptions filled and went home.
