Introduction
This book, Miracles, Wonders or Revelations: You Choose Volume II, is a continuation of the supernatural power of God that I have been privileged to experience in my life. I am so amazed and humbled by the fact that the Lord would allow me to see Him move in such a powerful way. I believe that God can do all things. When I meditate on all the things God has done for me, it takes my breath away! Thank You Jesus for revealing power to me. I stand in awe of You!
I have been blessed in my life to be raised in a home where my mother, Mable Lee Gillon, set an atmosphere of prayer and praise. My mother would get up early in the morning. I would hear her praying while she was cooking breakfast. I remember that she would get so caught up in prayer while she was cooking that she would start running through the house praising the Lord. It didn’t matter to my mother what she was doing when she got caught up in the presence of the Lord. If my mother had an unction to pray or praise the Lord, she was going to do just that. I will never forget the time she was in the kitchen preparing to cook biscuits. She started praising the Lord; she tossed the flour into the air and there was flour sprinkled all over the kitchen, in her hair and in other places throughout the house. My mother loved the Lord and she taught us to love Him, too. My mother would always declare to us that the Lord can do anything but fail. She would say that we should talk to Jesus because he is a real God, and He would hear us when we pray. I would listen to her and somehow, at a young age, I felt in my heart that this was true. This is how I started talking to the Lord.
There is a scripture in 1 John 5:10a (KJV) that says, He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself.
That is what happened to me: I believed, and my spirit bore witness to the truth of God. I started out first believing that God was real, but now I know He is real.
My Mother’s Amazing Faith
T here are many things that I could share about my mother’s faith in God. I have decided to tell you about the time when she was diagnosed with cancer. I chose to share this one because I saw an example of the reality and depth of her faith in a situation that was supposed to, in the natural, cause her great harm and distress.
When my mother was 75 years old, she was diagnosed with colon cancer. My mother would often say that she could not eat much, and she felt like something was wrong with her stomach. She made an appointment to see the doctor for him to evaluate this situation. After her initial visit with the doctor, blood work was done and appointments for specialized tests were scheduled. When the results of the tests were completed, my mother was called to come to the doctor’s office. One of the tests revealed that she had a mass in her intestines. There were other test results that were abnormal, so the doctor decided that she
