About this ebook

These poems are race related. We're all part of the human race. We've all felt lonely, heartbroken, frustrated. Some more than others. Finding common ground with an attorney or an addict isn't much of a stretch when you take the time to meet someone where they are. This collection was written over many years time, with the help of a trusty dictionary and thesaurus. The author seeks only expression in his offered perspective. We may not speak the same language, but we all have a voice.

    Blinders

    I guess it’s true

That endless mountain I had to climb

    All that weight behind

Dragging my peel, the fruits of attrition

    If I look straight ahead

    Does that mean I’m blind?

If only momentum could be so kind

    After much muscle memory

What a track to look back indelibly

The rails under these unfolded sails

Still have dirt under their nails

Dragging my peel, the fruits of attrition

    If I only look straight

    May as well be blind

    All that weight behind
