    Skeptical Vision - Mark Protsik

    Skeptical Vision

    Mark Protsik

    Copyright 2014 by Mark Protsik

    Smashwords Edition

    Self Portrait

    Solitude and somber

    Altogether life’s disposition

    Strong mind, fragile heart

    Unbeknown inquisition

    Gratitude and poignant

    Summer-scapes morphing grand collision

    Hollow depth, vacant eyes

    Granular reticulating incision

    Offset and grasping

    Armor placed upon position

    Colossal movement, peon presence

    Tired breaths of indecision.

    Tailored and trodden

    Vagabond sounds without provision

    Stone-cold shadow, softly flexing

    vulnerable tales of life’s collision

    What is Real

    Divine is that of innocence

    Unscathed, untouched and pure

    Opposite of lying wit

    Unnamed, unjust, unsure

    Truth is that of justice

    A marvelous frontier

    Occasional obscenities

    Glide above my ear

    A facsimile of splendor

    A photocopied judge

    Beneath the waves of freedom

    Long to hold a grudge

    Mis-pronunciated love

    Credit earning waste

    A costume wearing scholar

    Giving way to haste

    Reflections of their honesty

    Appear to be intact

    Divine and just and loving

    Is often what they lacked.

    Passive Aggressive

    Words escape lips

    Like sugar
