About this ebook
my metamorphosis from woman-girl to wise one. I have opted out of the
telling, personal intro. Take this gift, this piece of me, my accounts of
change, of pleasure and pain. Get to know me through my lyrics. Hate

Intro
I have revamped this book, from the title to the selections, to mirror my metamorphosis from woman-girl to wise one. I have opted out of the telling, personal intro. Take this gift, this piece of me, my accounts of change, of pleasure and pain. Get to know me through my lyrics. Hate or love the tenacious creature I have become. Who knows what our future holds?
For Now, I am Poet…
Musings
Rhapsody
Harps like lights in the darkest corner of my heart
Play for the voices of angels singing their love
At the base of my mind, a symphony
My feet waltzing to a glorious song heard only by me
Light-headed, I stumble & trip over my feet
This concert’s time marked by my heart’s beat
Light hearted, an intoxicated smile crosses my face
Song of my soul repeats at a faster pace
With each chord, a grudging knot in my back loosens
And each voice dances over bars of their own choosing
My soul leaves my body, free as a bird
It’s cage moving to some song that can’t be heard
On Earth or in space, but still a lovely tune
My soul moves on headed for the moon
No time to look back and why should I?
My heart’s music has provided a natural high
And now unwound- my resting limbs
My thoughts all swirling, all Earthly light dims
In my day dream state- with the bit of sense I make
The song plays on for my achy soul’s sake
In my own words
And still I wonder,
Is poetry the words?
I have decided no
It is the single window
Into the crowded warehouse
of dreams.
It holds an impressive inventory
Hoarding thoughts, words, nightmares and fantasies
Recycled and new all jumbled together
Unfiltered these parcels have reached The artists
The sole beneficiaries of these dreams
What do they mean?
It is a sub-pseudo-micro-mega sea of a culture
A model of Atlantis at worst
A wonder, a curse
Trickling slowly first through a stream
Jagged rocks of pain to guide once
Mellow thoughts to a place where they can grow
As the stream pulls more and more from every aspect
It has become a river, it has become a sea
A flow that is too strong for fear and
Too fast for criticism
Only Earth to feed such beauty
To thirsty minds across a vast planet
What does it all mean?
It has long been an open secret a crusted and dry
Thirsty wound festering in the rays
Of a deceptive sun
Once warming, now the beams distribute
The light by which my candle sleeps
And the heat by which my love dries
The pain by which my wounds develop
The single killer of all I love
Yet it continues on,
