He is a man who said, “I’ve failed at least ten thousand times.” Victory has of yet, once to be mine. It still holds true, for both me and you Our past doesn’t have to dictate, today what we pursue. No one can stop the uprising of one’s mind and spirit. This simple assertion becomes fast, fun these who believe when they hear it. Most say I’m down for the count but God says I’m down to be mounted. My past and present circumstance speak eloquently of my demise. How best I will stand strong and tell the whole world if I must excuse me while I rise!!! If your life’s journey has brought you to a place that is hard or seems too hard to bear, It will almost certainly not be the battles you’ve fought but the things you thought that get you there.”

    Dedication

    To the wife, daughter and son who are not;

Long banished to a world of imagination, before they could be more.

They are casualties of my very own thoughts.

To those who only know a forever loneliness.

It has an end, and it’s not the end of you.

To those who don’t think they can or are afraid to start a new.

Have no doubt or fear, it is your God given right.

God made your mind your own.

    Personal Truth I

    Loyal to a Fault

For decades, I have clothed my closest and most powerful ally in the enemy’s uniform.

He didn’t know the difference and assumed the duties required of the uniform I provided.

No more or less could be expected.

He wasn’t me or the me I planned to be.

Nevertheless, he was a reflection of who I would become, if I continued empowering this imposter’s thoughts as my own.

    Personal Truth II

    I Know the Reason

I know the reason for my every wrong turn, and my every turn to what was right.

I know the reason for my every sorrow filled day, and my every sleepless night.

I know the things that would have caused my life to favorably unfold.

I know all of the things I wasn’t, but wish I had been told.

My daughter and son, who are not, use the part of you that will produce a certain and clear destiny, or cause it to fade.

Please become one with the spirit of what follows, and by God’s design, and your own choices, your destinies will be made.

    (Ownership)

Apologies to the Kid I Use to Be

Apologies to the kid I use to be.

I’m sorry I allowed this life to get the best of me.

Apologies for the dreams I didn’t pursue.

I should’ve done more to make them come true.

I made you a prisoner of emotions and fear.

I made you feel alone, though others were near.

Sorry, but I know it’s true.

I let this life get the best of you.

I should’ve looked deeper for your dreams to know.

I should’ve worked harder to see them grow.

I allowed sadness and depression to make in you a home.

By seventeen your dreams were unfortunately all gone

I’m sorry there’s nothing I can do about the past.

Thank God, your true mind has surfaced at last.

I’m sorry for what all my weaknesses put you through.

I wish I could become you again, and start anew.

If this miracle could happen things would be different, and
