    Anne Hume is a retired science educator and lives on Waiheke Island with her husband Terry and two mischievous West Highland Terriers called Jock and Lassie. Inspired by her grandchildren’s love of Jock and Lassie and stories about animals, she has recently started writing books for young children based on the island adventures of the two dogs. Observing the dogs’ many amusing antics as they experience Waiheke life and interact with other residents, Anne captures these moments in prose for children (and adults) to enjoy.
