PEOPLE NEED AND DESIRE TO teach a lot. The more intense and the desire, the more people move forward. Forced to do things. The desire was much greater than my lack. It was 1989. I wanted to change something on my own. I just graduated from high school. A job opportunity came from the city. The job advantage is the study can be continued. The study doesn’t have to be interrupted. The desire to stay in the city attracted me more than the job.I agreed. I thought about the current job situation. There is no benefit in missing the opportunity. The man who came with the news of work. I contacted him. And I left as he said. First I have to go to the capital city. The main office is located in the capital city. After the main office I have to go to my work place. We arrived in the capital city on time. And I got up at a hotel like the job giver direction. My oldest brother came with me to the city. My older brother was talking about the job with the employer. My brother didn’t find similarities in terms and conditions of the job between the former word. So he disagreed with their condition. Next my brother came to me and said you didn’t have to do the job now. You stay here in the dormitory and study. Be patient, something will happen. I agreed with him.
One of my friends and classmates lived in City. We contracted with him. He came to visit me in the hotel. He arranged a seat for me in his dormitory. He also arranged temporary work for me. A few days later, one of my roommate’s he used to work at an audit firm. He arranged a job in his firm. The work is only temporary for three months. Power Development Board to be audited. No experience required. Monthly salary was reasonable. I will be able to maintain my monthly expenses in the right way. I did not disagree. I joined the work.
We are working on a total of eight people in this project. Who is acting our Assistant Director and Advisor to us. His name is Marfee. He lives in Royal street. And the owner and chief director of our firm, he lives in his own house in Mini Town. He has opened a firm office on the ground floor in his house. Sometimes he comes to visit our work to take care of our affairs. Another colleague lives in Hill street. It is near the rail gate. They used to come to the office by bus. But the rest of us live in Miller Boulevard. Our work area is not very far from our residents. we can go to our office by bus or walk on the Power Development board. For some reason If there is a problem with the bus, we can go to the office by walking.
Which words I’m going to present. He is our assistant director Mr Marfee. After completing his bachelor degree he has been working with this firm for four years. He will be completing his masters degree next year. He is a very funny man. What is meant by defining the characteristics of an unmarried young man. Maybe he is a real example. Longbody, bigger eyes, bright colors, hair backwards brush. In other words, it would not be wrong to call him a handsome young man. Although he is older than us. But he doesn’t maintain his seniority with us. In my opinion he would be good as a school teacher. Because on the first day when I joined the office. He taught me as nice as gentle how to do the work. I perfectly understood the work. I did not take much time to learn everything. I am working alone at my desk. Once he looked at me from behind my chair. He saw if I could do the job properly. He was very satisfied to see my work. He thanked me politely, touched my neck and went to his table.
Every day at two o’clock in the afternoon we eat lunch. Our food is given from the office. We are all together eating our lunch. During the meal, Mr Marfee exposed the environment to being very happy and funny by talking funny. We all had fun listening to his conversation. He is our senior officer. But he treated us like peers when we talked. We are among our staff all unmarried. Every day he would appear before us with a new event. The story was the subject matter of his unmarried emotional satisfaction of the Original attraction.Since we are all unmarried. So we would love him to hear. Occasionally a couple of unmarried young men from office stuff (Power Development Board) there would come and join with us. During the break, our storytelling was quite crowded.
Today he described an incident that happened yesterday in the evening. We stared at his face to listen to him. He began to speak. Marfee’s classmates Everyone marriage has ended. Only he is a person of his friend circle and is unmarried. His parents have become eager to get him married. They brought relationships from many places for his marriage. He showed many girls. But no one likes his mind. He saw that girl was beautiful but not well educated. Again who is educated is not beautiful in appearance, etcetera etcetera. He looked for many girls in his mind but could not succeed. When he went to the park to visit, he saw. His classmates came to visit with their wife or girlfriend. Then he does not feel better. He wanted to be like them. He did not like to live alone. So he wished to find a charming girl and gave an advertisement. After receiving the advertisement, a man contacted him. Friday is the closing day of Marfee. Except Friday he couldn’t see another day. The man told Marfee, Next Friday at 6.30pm you will come to Rossy park. You will wait on the south gate of the Park. I’ll be there in time. I’ll take you from there to see the girl please remember I’ll Wearing a red hat.
Marfee said, yes, I will remember you. Thanks
Mr Marfee’s reached the respective place on time. He didn’t take more time to find that person. He met with this man according to his suggestion. He left ingot acquainted with the man. The man asked Mr Marfee. There is no one with you? Mr Marfee said no. Very well done. The girl is very shy. If there were other people, If someone with you. She would not show up. He was a little surprised at the man’s words. But he didn’t ask any questions to the man.The man said then there is no point in being late. Marfee said then let’s go. The man was in front and Mr Marfee followed him. After walking some distance they came to the back of a dense tree, Meanwhile, it is almost evening. So it’s getting dark. Marfee saw a girl standing behind the bushes. The man pointed at the girl and introduced her. I’ll come then. The man left. Now the day has become shorter so it is almost evening. A suspicion arose in the Marfee ‘s mind. Lonely all around. The park people are almost gone. It is evening, a lonely girl. The girl has no acquaintance or friendship with her now.Surely there is a problem with the girl. He began to think.
The girl saw Marfee’s to remain silent and came a little closer. Began to discuss it with him. The girl said, So what are you thinking
? You are very shy. Marfee said, yes.
Marfee said a little worriedly to the girl. Can we go to a restaurant? Let’s go there and eat something and talk? The girl said why? Can’t you say here? Marfee said, Look, the people are almost gone. The surroundings have become very quiet.
The girl said, you do not like silence?
. Marfee said, not by order. I like silence during the day and not at night.
The girl said that the day time is always gathering. But silence is only at night. Marfee said, You are right. But look how I feel. I can’t explain.
The girl said well, then let’s go. Then they two started walking. At that time three men came to them. And also that man brought Marfee and introduced with the girl. Marfee got strange and saw that man with the other man. They surrounded Marfee’. They said, give us everything you have.
If you don’t, you will be in danger. They took out the knife. He thought to call the police. The gang said hurry up, "if you don’t want to get in danger. Don’t be late. Marfee could’ understand. He should have gone long ago. It is too late now. There is no other way. Mr Marfee thought if he shouted but no one would hear. He handed over his belongings to their hands. His watch, neck chains and pocket cash money three hundred gave up on them. Then he asked,
hey can you return some money for the bus fare?" I have to go home. The gang returned the bus fare to him. Marfee returned home too ashamed. All we felt sorry to hear about that. A colleague commented after hearing his story. He told such stories to get the job done. Then I said, he had to admit because he is a funny man anyway. In the meantime, our break came to an end. We started working again.
The anti-government movement has reached a peak in the country. Every regular strike and fight became a daily occurrence. All the political parties have come together and called for a movement. The government of the country has not stopped. The government has taken the necessary action to stop the movements There is no end to the frustrations of ordinary people. When ordinary people go out, they have to be humiliated by the strikers or tortured by the police. After a continued 48-hour’s strike, public life has become normal. But there is no end to the rally and meetings. It looked like a city of rallies. The protesters vandalized vehicles and set them on fire. Anyway, we went to the office and started working. I didn’t notice when it was time for lunch while working continuously. Mr Marfee called for lunch. We all went to the lunch room.
Mr Marfee himself distributed food for everyone. We all started eating. This time Mr Marfee was going to discuss important issues. At this time one of our members said, you must have heard the news? The next week, a 72 hour’s Strike was called. Mr Marfee said that there is no harm in a strike. There is no office and there work, Marfee’s started the real discussion. He began to say, Listen with your heart.
If there is a strike during the event next week. Our office will not be closed, Our director said, within three months. we have to finish our work.
I know that during the strike The car will not run. The director himself picked all of us by his car and took us to the office. One of our members said during the strike if the car would break down? Mr Marfee said, the office Car means our car. And how many people will we have?
Why are we given the chance to break our car? If necessary, we will break our own car. Remember that no one will hardly hit the car? All of you will just pretend to break. We will all get out of the car and pretend to break around the car. Our boss will sit inside the car. He will take the opportunity to turn the car and leave. We started laughing a lot when we heard his words. By the time our break came to an end. We all started working.
About a month passed after we joined the work. By the time we have become acquainted with almost all the employees in the office. We have been working regularly. We get our lunch break as usual. We went into the lunch room. A procession is heard outside the office. Now people have become obsessed with the procession meeting. If the procession is meeting somewhere, it does not look serious. We are all like that. I am busy with our work. After a while, the office pion came in with food for us. Marfee asked him, what the procession was for outside. Can you tell?
The pion said, yes. You know our general engineer. He wanted a bribe from a consumer. The consumer didn’t agree to bribe him. Then the engineer disconnected the electricity line. The consumer got angry with the engineer. He complained the office union against him. So the union arranged the procession against the engineer. The engineer said,
The consumer didn’t pay for four month electricity bill. So I disconnected the electricity line. Then the consumer got angry with me. He came to the office and contracted the office Union. Then he made a false statement and complained to harass him."
Marfee said, the real history is the engineer, only one person in the office who supports the leftist party. The office union and the consumer supports the ruling party. Particularly the consumer person and office union are the same group’s supporters. Electrical engineers are different groups. The Engineer’s allegation of taking bribes is completely false. We heard that the man had threatened the engineer one day. The man will complain against him. This is his consequence.
After a while the engineer came out. We saw that his face was very dry. There is no pale smile on his face.He ordered the Pion’’ (office staff)to give him water. The
Pion’’(office staff) informed him. He can’t do anything for him. I felt unhappy to disrespect the engineer The engineer entered his office depressed. I realized that another person (Leader of union) in this office had taken a bribe. And he has spread these false allegations against the engineer. Pion does not have the ability to understand. I feel sorry for the Engineer.
The strike resumed next week. The office closed. The director did not have to bring the car. So we didn’t have to break the car. The government anti-movement became extreme. Our work schedule came to an end.Our director came to the office. He settled all our debts. We all received our debt and left the office. I and
