About this ebook
I am thankful for my intimate relationship with God. My relationship has developed me into a man who prays, consistently, and about everything. I cherish each of the opportunities, as I must communicate with God. In this book, I will share some of my stories and experiences that have shaped my prayer life and how I dealt with them. I want you to understand the power of prayer and how prayer will invite God into your situations—how prayer will affect you daily. You, too, will understand that prayer is the most powerful weapon in the world—that praying has the power to make you aware of the schemes and tactics of the enemy, who tries to keep you from praying. It is my mission to inform, enlighten and empower you about the most powerful weapon that every man has at his disposal.

In loving memory of my mother
Margaret Singletary
Who exemplified the importance and power of prayer and how prayer
moves God to respond. She was a praying woman, and she wanted
to make sure I understood the power of prayer. But first I had to
become a man who prays. She would say to me that it is essential that
a man understands the power of prayer and maintains an intimate
relationship with God. Communicating with God is a privilege, and
hearing from God is gratifying—one I should cherish, respect, and be
grateful for. A man who prays is a weapon that the enemy despises.
Mother, thank you for being a woman who
believed in the power of prayer.
Mother, you were the greatest blessing on this side of heaven. I love you!

Let’s Pray
Heavenly Father, I pray that this book inspires men to seek your face, to call on You in prayer and desire an intimate relationship with you. I pray that they understand that the most powerful weapon in the world is prayer and prayer has the power to change their life and their situation. Amen and Amen.
Introduction
In this book, you will understand how essential it is to be a man who prays. A man who has an intimate/trusting relationship with the creator and who knows the power of prayer is a man the enemy does not like dealing with. It is the intimate/trusting relationship with the creator that consists of surrender, honesty, guidance, direction, counsel, wisdom, and life-and-death situations. A man who prays will begin to learn what is prayer and why is prayer important in the sanctity of his home, marriage, and children; and he knows that prayer is the most powerful weapon in the world. Prayer is the source of life of a man who prays, and there is no life without it. Prayer can breathe life into any situation you are facing and words of hope in your storm, doubt, anxiousness, and during a spiritual battle. Prayer is like exhaling. Exhaling is breathing out, and we are breathing out when we pray. Prayer allows us to breathe life into our situation. It is either life or death. Spiritual battles keep us from breathing. Spiritual battles lead to death when we neglect to pray and neglect our intimate relationship with God. A man cannot breathe unless he is praying.

I remember the first prayer my parents taught me as a child was Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.
And I prayed that prayer every day as a child and teenager, and sometimes I do today. I began my journey of prayer then, and I cannot endure without it. I am a man who prays.
AMWP (A Man Who Prays)
What I realized in my duration in life is that there is an important ingredient missing from the families today: the responsibility of AMWP (a man who prays) especially within the family structure.
Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before
(Daniel 6:10).
The man of God is facing a dilemma … when a man has relinquished his roles, he has opened the door for the devil. A man must remember his biblical role as man of God and be reminded of God’s definition of what a man is. What is a man supposed to be? What should a man seek to become?
A man who prays follows God in every way; he strives to obey His commands with joy, someone who desires to not live for the things of this life but for the things of eternity and who willingly serves his God in giving freely all his resources yet
