Anointed Singles Seeking the Heart of God - L. M. Turman

    Question: What does God want

     from me?

    Scripture:

    Psalm 24:4

Psalm 51:10               What God really wants from you starts with what he has

    done for us.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6).

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:16).

Developing this relationship with God will require much dedication.

God wants a real relationship with you. He wants control of your life. He wants to live in you—and for you to live in him. He wants obedience. He wants a witness. He wants a prayer life. He wants excellence. He wants readiness. He wants holiness. There is a mandate on your life to be like Christ, one that God wants carried out. Therefore, he needs a dedicated (set apart), consecrated (to devote, to make or declare holy), sold-out life. God wants perseverance (persistence). God wants real worship (reverence). Private or public, God wants your time. There may be many other calls on your life, depending on your individual situation.

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. Stay before God in secret and he will reward you openly (Hebrews 10:35).

Question: How do I have a relationship with God?

    Scripture:

    Deuteronomy 6:5

Every day is a different experience, a different walk with God, so you should daily examine your life to make sure that it lines up with the Word of God. Your relationship with him is personal; you see and feel him like no one else can. That’s why each individual has to know for himself where he stands. You will have to know who you are in order to determine whether you are living according to God’s Word.

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all… thy might (Deuteronomy 6:5).

We should give him our all and our best. Choose not to walk in disobedience but in his divine purpose for your life. Your desire and commitment should be to please God and to be Spirit-led.

Many storms and much rain will come, but God will always be there. I remember so well when my husband passed away. I was very young and was left with two children. My life was in transition, and anytime you are in transition, it’s always painful. My life was torn apart because death is so final. At that time I had a good church family and many good friends who were very supportive. My biological family never stopped
