About this ebook

The year 2019 was already a rough one for Ty and Jennifer White and the black powder blank business they run in Kansas. But in late October, it became even worse. Ty was involved in an explosion, and fifty-six percent of his body was covered in second- and third-degree burns. Death was almost certain. They needed a miracle.
In I Will Restore, Jennifer shares their journey, offering insight into both the physical and spiritual battle they waged. She tells how God transformed Ty from a burn victim to a burn survivor as she led prayer warriors in a fight against the devil to save his life.
Jennifer narrates a story of tragedy and the faith it took to get through. It’s about a spiritual war waged over a man’s life. It’s a story about God’s promises to heal and the miracles that took place. I Will Restore offers a true testimony of the authority we have in Christ and the power of prayer.

A true story of faith, love, and the power of prayer. God is alive and still performs miracles, and this is a story of one. I was one of many who witnessed it. God is great.

Christians long to be close to God ever seeking him to reveal himself to us through his answer to our prayers. When Ty White sustained an unimaginable tragedy, everyone sought God to pray, to seek, and most of all to believe. This misfortune turned into an unprecedented testimony for Christ not just in the fact that God answers prayer but in that through such a time as this, countless souls were united and restored by witnessing a miracle no one other than God could have orchestrated.

What incredible moments touched the hearts of the souls who watched with shouts of glory and renewed faith the compelling story of Ty and Jennifer White playing out before them. Jennifer was courageous and relentlessly faced her husband’s trauma with unwavering faith and called on saints to pray daily. This book is a true testimony of God in action through countless prayers of all who came together to encourage, uplift, and pray during a tragedy of a loved one and his family. What a miracle to watch as it touched hundreds of hopeful souls and brought healing to Ty through the incredible power of prayer, amen.

As a pastor of twenty-five years in northern Colorado, a mounted shooter, and a friend of Ty and Jennifer, I recommend this book for many reasons. To begin with, there is nothing more powerful than a testimony. You will definitely read in this book how powerful it is when people come together in prayer. This testimony of God’s love for Ty and Jennifer will encourage you to believe that nothing is too difficult for God when people unify and flood the situation with prayer to the one true God of the Bible.

You’ll read of miracles that took place because God responds to prayer! As I read about Ty’s situation and the updates, I saw God clearly at work in many ways. I don’t know how anyone could miss it! Thank you, Jennifer, for leading us, coordinating us, and showing us another example of the power of prayer!

I hope you will read this book; it may be the word of encouragement you need in your situation. With God, all things are possible!

This story of how God brought life back from the doorstep of death and the amazing healing that he brought into the lives of Ty and Jennifer White are testaments to the love and passion he has for his children. Only God can restore health and joy to the lives of those he loves. Scriptures have shared with us the miracles God performed in ways beyond the ability of humanity.

Our prayer is that this story of how God moves during the storms of life will allow you to hang on and know that God will have the last word. There is a light in the darkness; a new day will arrive. May God use the story of Ty and Jennifer to bring you through the dark times and reach into the depths of your relationship with Christ, who died to secure your restoration. To God be the glory for all he has done and for restoring a true blessing in their lives.

    Dedication

This book is dedicated to all those who joined us in the spiritual fight for Ty’s life as prayer warriors. To all the doctors and nurses who worked tirelessly to care for him. To all our friends back home who kept our animals fed and all the chores done. To my parents for finding him and taking him to the hospital. Without them, Ty would have left us that day.

    Foreword

This story is about a fight beyond our natural vision. As the darkness stays around us and our vision of love grows into reality, God moves.

God’s greatest commandments is to Love each other as I have loved you (John 15:12 NIV). God is long suffering, he fights for us, he never leaves us or forsakes us (Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV).

    Love Conquers All

When we live knowing God accepts and loves us and we believe we are his vessels, he moves mountains in our lives.

This story is about a woman with courageous love.

God is our light in the darkness.

    —Laura Rutschman

    Preface

My inspiration to put this experience into words came from the many requests of the prayer warriors who prayed every day and followed our story on Facebook. Many prayers to Jesus were involved in requesting the guidance in putting this story down on paper.

I believe the Lord wants us to share our message with you as an example of his love for us and the miracles he can perform in our lives. May you also become a witness to the Lord’s miracles as you travel this journey of tragedy, love, dedication in faith, and relentless perseverance and walk in the Lord’s victory.

    Chapter 1

    ON THE ROAD AGAIN

October is a busy month every year for the ammunition providers for the sport of cowboy mounted shooting. Competitors use .45 single action revolvers to shoot balloons through various patterns on horseback. We spend weeks getting ammo manufactured for the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association’s (CMSA) world finals. We supply the ammo for the event as well as sell it to individuals and clubs in the sport. We spend ten days every year in Texas competing during this time. These events are the year’s final events in the sport. It’s our time to visit with our competitors and enjoy the year-end matches with friends and what we call our shooting family.

The year 2019 was like many previous years; we put in the time and effort to get the ammo and our horses ready to compete. We traveled to Vernon, Texas, our first stop, where Ty and I placed in the match and had a very successful competition businesswise with our ammo. Following this event, we headed to Amarillo, Texas, where we competed in the CMSA world finals. We decided to head home before it was over. We were finished with shooting competitions, and Ty, being a volunteer fireman, didn’t want to miss out on his fireman’s fundraiser that Saturday night.

We arrived back on the ranch on October 18 and spent the next couple of days catching up with ammo orders, doing laundry, unpacking the truck and trailer, and checking on our livestock. Ty unloaded his tools from the truck and put everything away in the ammo shop. After a few days, I was finally able to sit down and enjoy the fall scenery around our yard. I will often times enjoy hot tea on a pretty morning out on the front deck.
