    I’d wait for your call, sitting by the phone.

    Allowing the anxiety to possess my soul,

    hoping your heart would slowly unfold.

    I knew you were emotionally unavailable.

    But I fell too quickly and my heart was too

    breakable.

    -Can’t be with or without you

    Isn’t it strange?

    Knowing we deserve better.

    Knowing we could get better.

    But yet, we stay because there’s some twisted

    excitement in being with someone

    who treats us like an option.

    Every day we feed off of wondering; will they

    choose me?
