First, I want to thank God, Jesus and Holy Spirit for giving me the vision for this project and for the wisdom to pull it together. Thank You God for placing the right people in my path to help me in all the areas where I needed it. I’d like to thank my spiritual leaders for all of their prayers and a spiritual covering, for emotional support and encouragement.
Also, I am thankful for the many hands that came together to assist in pulling this project together including the many people with who offered encouragement, guidance, emotional and financial support, and many acts of kindness. I am eternally grateful to my caregivers and the nursing and healthcare providers who provided excellent care every step along the way during my healing and recuperation.
I am so appreciative of my spiritual sisters-in-Christ whom God has given me.
Without naming them I especially want to thank all of them for the many telephone calls, the prayers, encouragement, emotional and financial support, love, guidance, a hand to hold and a shoulder to lean on when I needed them the most. Thank you, thank you, thank you, individually and collectively for staying with me every step of the way. I am eternally grateful!
Yours in Christian Love and Thanksgiving,
Yvonne D. Dean

JESUS
coverimage.jpgAuthor’s note
44323.pngThis section of the book will help us understand more about praise and worship by each letter as we study the Word of God for our salvation, going from letter p
in Praise to the final letter p
in Worship.
Now let us go into the Word of God about the subject.
Introduction
44323.pngIn this book you will have an understanding of the Name: JESUS. Each letter will help you to look at the life of JESUS. He came into this world as a baby to go through the same things that you and I are going through and experience, even today, in our lives.
JESUS walked this earth preaching and teaching the Word, beginning at the age of 30 years. His life before that was in the learning stage, just as ours is until the Holy Spirit calls us unto Himself.
We must look at JESUS as we look at ourselves. The only thing different in JESUS and us is that we are sinners ad He is holy! Sinners have to repent of their sins and ask for forgiveness and be baptized in the Name of JESUS as the Bible declares. Then they shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. To receive this gift of the Holy Ghost is what the Bible means to be born of the Spirit,
which is of Jesus Christ our King.
We understand that when we use the Name of JESUS as we pray and ask Him to bless us or help us, that He does what He says He will do. Now, in order to receive the promises of our God, we must know JESUS and believe that He knows us better than we know ourselves.
When we know Him in the power of His name, that name will draw us closer to Him and cause us to fear Him without sorrow. JESUS is our provider, teacher, preacher and friend. But more than that, He is our LORD and Master, Everlasting Father! He is the lover of our souls.
Listed are some of the natures of JESUS that we should have in order for us to be like Him: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, gentleness, and faithfulness. With all these fruit of the Spirit, it is amazing how JESUS is also the great Shepherd.
In this writing I would like to show what each letter of the Name of JESUS could stand for using scripture references.
Jesus

Jealous
44323.pngJESUS is the only person with the right to be jealous over us.
In the Old Testament, Exodus 20 tells us what we must NOT do.
Exodus 20:4-5 (KJV):
⁴" Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
⁵ Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;"
These verses show that when you have something that you love more than you love Jesus, it makes Him jealous.
Now let us look at what Exodus 34 says about the jealous God we serve:
Exodus 34: 12 -14 (KJV):
¹² "Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:
¹³But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:
¹⁴ For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:" (emphasis added)
So you see, God will not have us worship any other gods before Him. If you are going to worship something, you must put it out of your life now because it will lead you to sin before the Father Who is in heaven.
Following are other verses to help understand that God is a jealous God:
Deuteronomy 4:24 (KJV):
For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
Deuteronomy 5:9 (KJV):
Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,
Deuteronomy 6:14-15 (KJV):
"Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
¹⁵ (For the Lord thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the Lord thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth."
Joshua 24:19 (KJV):
And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the Lord: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.
Joshua is talking to the Israelites after Moses’ death. Joshua made a covenant with the people; they went on to serve the Lord all the days of Joshua’s life.
I Kings 19:10, 14 (KJV):
10"And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
14And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away."
Ezekiel 39:25 (KJV):
Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;
Nahum 1:2 (KJV):
God is jealous, and the Lord revengeth; the Lord revengeth, and is furious; the Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.
Joy
44323.pngAccording to the Word of God the joy
of the Lord is one thing that is keeping us from going off the deep end,
and keeps us in our right mind. Without joy
there is sickness in our spirits. We were made to give God praise and without it we just die. Joy is medicine to our bodies and peace to our souls.
For example, when someone is confused, all they have to do is sing to Jesus a song in their heart. That will make them perk up and start to dance in the spirit, even without music. But we know that when that happens, some people think that you have lost your mind. No, you have not lost your mind; you are really in your right mind when it comes to the joy of the Lord!
When you hear the name Jesus
, it should put a pep in your step, a note in your min d, and a dance in your feet. Satan cannot touch you when there is joy
in your heart. So, think about what you are doing when the devil tries to put you down. Just say: No you don’t! I’ve got the Holy Ghost in me and you can’t stop me now.
Then, stomp all over the head of the problem with a smile on your face, knowing that Jesus is taking care of everything!
Here is what the Bible says about joy.
Psalm 51 tells us that David called upon the Lord and asked Him to restore unto him joy.
Psalm 51:12 (KJV):
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
This verse tells us that when the Lord holds us up with His Spirit, this makes us free.
More verses concerning joy
follow:
Psalm 43:4 (KJV):
Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
Psalm 27:6 (KJV):
And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.
Psalm 16:11 (KJV):
"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."
Psalm 5:11 (KJV):
But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
Luke 8:13 (KJV):
They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
Hebrews 3:18-19(KJV):
"And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
¹⁹ So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief."
Rejoice in the Lord at all times so that the enemy cannot overtake you and make you fall. For God is great and greatly to be praised!
Let the joy
of the Lord shine in your life as you go about doing good for all mankind.
Justice
44323.pngIn this part of our walk with Jesus we must trust that Jesus implements justice.
When the people try to justify themselves according to worldly ways, it turns out that some die and others fall ill for a long time.
The justice
of Jesus is different.
Genesis 18:19 (KJV):
For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
God trusted Abraham to teach his people and his household righteous judgment, and uphold justice
according to the Word of God. This also shows that Abraham was a just man in the eyes of God.
Throughout the Bible we find how the Word clearly shows that it is important to God that we also be just
and use the justice
of God and not our own worldly understanding
Let us take a look at some verses that will help us to understand what God desires for us in justice
:
Deuteronomy 33:21 (KJV):
And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the Lord, and his judgments with Israel.
This verse clearly shows that Moses had to look at the way he responded to the justice of God before he gave the people of Israel the judgment of God. Let us take another look at how the justice of God was handled in the Book of Job. Here is a just
man whose friends accuse of being disobedient to God.
In Job 8, Job is asking the question about the judgment and the justice of God:
Job 8:3 (KJV):
³ Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?
As we come into periods of trials, we too must ask the same question concerning the way we live: are we letting our enemies control our ways of thinking?
Proverbs 8:15 (KJV):
By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
So, without the say-so
of God, justice cannot be declared throughout the land among the people.
Other scripture regarding justice
:
Psalm 119:121 (KJV):
I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.
Isaiah 56:1 (KJV):
Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
Ezekiel 45:9 (KJV):
Thus saith the Lord God; Let it suffice you, O princes of Israel: remove violence and spoil, and execute judgment and justice, take away your exactions from my people, saith the Lord God.
The princes of Israel were wrongly judging the people.
Romans 4:5 (KJV):
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
This means that an ungodly person who believes in God, who justifies the ungodly, will through his faith be counted as righteous. Let us become the children of God by making right judgments
and being just
persons according to Jesus’ Words.
Endureth
44323.pngAccording to God’s Word, we must endure
many things in our lives. But the problem is not always the enduring
, it is the question of what are we enduring
for. The Bible says that we must endure
for the things that are not in our lifetime, but rather endure
for the day when Jesus comes back to receive us unto Himself.
The world endures
for the things that make them feel good and for the approval of man, but not so the Church who are going to see Jesus face-to-face as He is! Now, when you think about enduring
, you want to receive something for your patience after the enduring
is over. This is true, but more important is: WHOM are you enduring
for – that is the question.
Let us look in God’s Word at what it says about how we should endure.
I Chronicles 16:34 (KJV):
O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth forever.
First of all, we have to be thankful to the Lord for allowing us to know how to endure because Jesus, our example, does it forever.
II Chronicles 20:21 (KJV):
And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever.
Ezekiel 3:11 (KJV):
And go, get thee to them of the captivity, unto the children of thy people, and speak unto them, and tell them, Thus saith the Lord God; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.
The word forbear
in this verse means endure.
Psalm 30:5 (KJV):
"For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."
Jesus has given us a promise that if we endure
for the night, we will be rewarded.
Psalm 100:5 (KJV):
For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Another of God’s promises for those who seek Him.
Jeremiah 33:11 (KJV):
The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the Lord of hosts: for the Lord is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the Lord.
I Corinthians 13:7 (KJV):
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
I Peter 1:25 (KJV):
But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
Here the Lord tells the teacher to teach the people by the Word of God, not by the word of man.
Eternal
44323.pngWhen you think about eternal
you must believe that the things of God will never change, no matter what anyone says. Eternal
means forever more!
Let us explore what the Word of God says about eternal
.
Deuteronomy 33:27 (KJV):
"The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath
