Well, maybe I am an International Clairvoyant /Medium, but am also a woman who loves to cook and I thought it might be entertaining to share with u, my travels and include recipes from that place, that time, in my life. So this will be a chronological journey as well as a gastronomic one.

Scotland, my place of birth, is a land of great beauty, of majestic mountains, of peaceful lochs and a climate of cold winters and winds that cut through to the bone!

Aberdeenshire, bringing in the New Year, walking along the farm track with painfully cold knees and Edinburgh, as a student, climbing up Waverley steps, are memories of extreme discomfort in wintertime. So, of course, my mind turns to soup! That wonderfully life sustaining, nourishing and comforting food which every country and culture hold in high esteem. Many top chefs maintain that in the making of soup and sauces, the true genius is found. Now that is certainly not me, but making soup is my favourite dish. Nothing nicer than seeing family returning home, red nosed and shivering, eyes lighting up as they inhale the aroma of the soup pot, pulling up their chairs and drinking their soup with relish! (Homemade bread as well.)

That sounds like I made good bread. Not so!
