Barbaro Baez Alvarez is originally from Cuba and has been living in the United States since 2002. He is currently happily married to his wife, Yasmin A. Betancur Perez, and with whom they have a beautiful daughter named Emily Baez Betancur.

Barbaro obtained a degree of master of arts in visual communication at Hodges University and has been working for NAMI Collier County since 2013. He is a person who considers himself kind, intelligent, hardworking, and persevering.

He has always had a yearning to write a book that allows him to express his opinion about life and some experiences he had in the course of it. He took notes during his life and decided to share it with people who decide to read this book.

PREFACE

This book is about the experiences of a young man who always wanted to find the meaning of life and find his purpose in it. His great desire is to write a book that allows other people to understand life much better. During his life, he had some experiences that awoke his interest of writing. These experiences had love in common, which was the fuel of his inspiration.

When he was twelve, he was inspired to write for the first time. This was due to a love of youth that never came true, which aroused in him the desire to express himself by writing since he did not feel able to do it personally.

Suddenly, in an afternoon of anguish over the impotence of not being reciprocated, he found comfort in describing what he was feeling at that precise moment. Later, he decided to document every moment he felt inspired.

What is really amazing is that when he started writing for the first time, he took notes of the day and time that it all started, with the feeling that in the uncertain future, he would connect all the scriptures he would do in the course of his life and perform a book.

Part of his life was greatly impacted by moving to the United States when he was fifteen years old. For political reasons between Cuba and the United States, and several events because of separating from his family, he was diagnosed with a disease known for bipolar disorder, which was identified when he was seventeen years old.

This book mentions how the disease was discovered and the impact it has had on his life. He shares some of his experiences that many people can identify with.

Upon arriving in the United States, he had the opportunity to know more about God. He always had the general knowledge that God existed, but he had never studied anything in the Bible before. Then around his nineteen years, he had a supernatural experience where God revealed his plans for humanity. Also, around his thirty-two years, when he began to document his book on the computer, he had another experience with God that helped him clarify his ideas to organize and complete his book. This was possible through his honesty and by expressing his deepest concerns he had at that time.

Again, in a moment of helplessness with respect to a series of events that occurred in his life caused the need to express himself to God writing. He considered that by writing, it would allow him to record on paper the conversation he so longed to have with God at that time.

Somehow, in his life, he has always had a great insight that has allowed him to be aware during the experiences he has lived. It is as if there was something or someone who was watching him to advise and support him in everything he needs. Over time, it has proven that this is due to the manifestation of a force or entity that surpasses human understanding.

Part of his debate in this book is that it is God who advises him in his experiences or if it is only his conscience. He clarifies that he has never experienced a physical auditory voice in his head or something. They are just ideas and inspirations in his thoughts, which make him express the way he does it.

In this book, you can find the scriptures he made in the course of his life. The main objective of this book is to demonstrate that there is a God who, although not everyone recognizes him or interprets him in the same way, is always present in our lives.

This young man would like to share his testimony to prove that God is real and that he has a plan for everyone.

It is not the intention of this book to try to persuade any person whether God exists but to sow a seed in the hearts of those who do not know him yet so that they may seek him and make the decision to accept him for themselves if they wish.

This book can also serve as much as entertainment, education, or even inspiration. The things mentioned in this are true and of great value.

As you will notice, this book consists of two books, where the name of the book that appears on the cover is My Divine Gift. Within this, it is divided by the first book named Barbaro Baez’s Experience with God: Looking for Answers and the second as The Mystery of My Life: By Barbaro Baez Alvarez.

It is recommended that depending on the interest of the reader is that you should choose the order to read the book. For example, if you are a spiritual person it is suggested to start with book 1 and later in book 2, however if you are a person who is more interested in the field of mental health it is suggested to read book 2 first and then book 1 For people who consider themselves open-minded and want to have a better experience, it is suggested that they read the book from beginning to end so that they have a better experience reading it and enjoy it more as the warning announcement says than it seems on the cover page.

Barbaro wanted to make two separate books, but he considered it was important to publish both at the same time so that the reader has a more complete and accurate experience of his experiences and their origins.

In the first book, he shares his supernatural experience with God, which is divided into three parts. Later in the second book, he narrates the course of his life from birth to the present day. This has been divided into two parts.

The reason he shares part of his life is for people to understand that God does not need extraordinary people to communicate and manifest. In addition, there are many aspects of his life that are not only religious but also political and of our health well-being, which he believes can serve as both inspiration and entertainment for people who decide to read them.

He believes that everything in this life is connected, and there is a unique purpose and objective that every human being must carry out during his life. It could be as simple as being born and dying logically, or contributing to the development of humanity.

Somehow, he believes that, belonging to the first group as is logical, he can also collaborate with some ideas and point of view toward improving and making life more meaningful.

Note: The introduction and autobiography of this book were made in December 2018. During this time, it was when he gathered all his life’s events and experiences and began to organize and create this book.

Current note: You will notice that there will be dates at the beginning of each writing. This is because he wrote this book with a format of a diary, and he was documenting the writings as they were showing up in the course of his life. These are the original texts from each specific date that he wrote. Barbaro possesses proof of all this.

Also, when you see a "note, it is the exact note on that date, but when you see current note," this is a note that he wrote in the present day, the year 2019. He did this to explain and guide you through the book.

There are times in life that people feel confused about what has happened in the course of it. Life is a mystery to many who wonder. What is the real reason why we should follow our goals and dreams if in the end everything will end?

We all know that others will come after us and that our evolution will continue. But even so, it is unfair that we lose everything we have achieved in our lives. The truth is that there are many injustices that we cannot remedy, but something that we can do to solve this is to make of our lives a better life so that we can take advantage of the time we have left to live it.

When I refer to life, I mean our personal life, our personality, feelings, and way of thinking. It is true that everyone lives their life in different ways, because not everyone thinks in the same way, and that not everyone lives under the same socioeconomic and cultural conditions. But something we all have in common is that we are all born and will die someday.

Another thing we have in common is that we all need a reason to live. This can be your family, your dreams, your work, even yourself. Now, it doesn’t matter what kind of life we live, but what matters is what we decide to do with it. Remember that your life is unique and that you must value it.

God can be a motive or a path that we can follow to give our lives a little more meaning. God wants us to communicate with him to establish a new connection between him and us.

To communicate with God, the first thing we must do is learn to know each other. It is when we know each other well that we will be sure of what we want for us, and then we will decide if God is the way we want to follow.

God is constantly in our lives; only not all can notice. I can say that God is in our conscience. He will always tell us what is right or wrong. We just must choose.

There are people who live life by living it because they have not yet made sense of it. Knowing more about God will help you make your life more meaningful. He will help you open your spiritual senses to the world in which we live. He will teach you to love, to forgive, and to care about others. God will fill your life with wisdom and knowledge that will allow you to make your life a better life.

Now, the hardest part is learning to know each other and discover what God really wants for us. Here is a way to solve this. Search and find out about God, and you will find yourself, because when you find him, you will notice that you and God are only one person, because he lives in you; you just don’t want to recognize it.

You can learn about God when you read the Bible. It is better if you study it with other people that are familiar with it. Once you get involved with God, he will reveal himself to you.

When I was nineteen, I had a supernatural experience with God, and he has been working with me directly since then. I feel that there is a connection between him and me that allows me to see things in life more clearly.

Despite some hard experiences that I have had in the course of my life, these have helped me to know God even more and to verify that he exists.

All this I write is dedicated to all who read it. This can serve as an experience for all the people of this world. In these scriptures, there is a great teaching that God wants you to know that will allow you to understand a little more about yourself and the world in which we live. I know that everyone will wonder whether to believe me in what I say, but only I know that all this is true since it all began after finding love in my life—that is, God, the right way to go.

God wants us to reconcile with him again. Over the years, God has sought a way to show us the way to salvation, where he had to give his only begotten to die for our sins.

All this that I have written was inspired by God and is a testimony that he exists and wants to reconcile with us.

Note: Next, the way I consider it effective to communicate with God will appear. This consists of taking a pencil and a sheet of paper and expressing yourself to him with all sincerity so that he can help you clarify your doubts. I give as an example how I did it. If you wish, you can do the same.

A WAY TO COMMUNICATE WITH GOD

God, through these scriptures, I would like to communicate with you with the greatest sincerity in the world. When I say communicate with you, I mean that, at the same time as I write, you will listen to my thoughts and concerns, which I am sure will get a response and advice from you. I know that the best way to communicate with you is through prayer and that you also know all my concerns before I express them, but the reason I write this is to engrave on this piece of paper everything you want me to know.

There are times when we pray that we forget some things; instead, I think that by writing them, it will make it much easier for me to understand the message you have for me. From this way, I can read once more and analyze well what we talk about.

I know this may seem a little crazy or absurd to many, but the truth is that it isn’t for me, who is a person that truly believes in you and has faith.

God, you can’t imagine how many questions I have for you if you were in front of me. But the truth is, that’s not necessary, at least for the moment. First, because, although I don’t see you physically, I can feel you like many Christians who believe in you. Second, because it would be very difficult to believe, although with you, nothing is difficult or impossible. But I know that for everything, there is time in this life and after it.

I would like to thank you for my health and for giving me the opportunity to wake up every day. The reason I decided to communicate with you is I would like to see beyond the reality of the world we live in today. I’d like to see that everything I think and feel about you is true. I know there are no secrets to you and that lying to you would be lying to myself. That’s why I decided to express everything I feel and have inside of me right now.

You don’t know how hard it is for me to express everything that I really carry inside me. I know I’m in the age of adolescence, which is one of the most difficult stages for men. This is the age when we begin to know our self and define our thoughts.

Sometimes, I wonder what we do in this world if everything will end as it started. There are many worries in my head that I will tell you next.

I’m sure this is the situation of a lot of people who don’t believe in you. But like I said, I must be honest with you.

God, I’d like to see that you really exist and that you aren’t just a product of creation of someone who, like me, could have created you to give a little more sense to life, someone who didn’t know where we came from but, with the help of his intelligence and logic, got many to agree on his way of thinking. I’d like you to prove that you’re a supernatural being that can do anything in this life.

I would like to check that everything I believe is true and not the product of another coincidence with that person but of a communication that you want to do with me.

I want you to know that I believe in the Holy Bible but remember that this one was created by human beings like us. You yourself say that we should not trust man: "5 This is what the Lord says: ‘Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord’" (Jer. 17:5, NIV).

In addition, who knows how many modifications have been made to the Bible by the people who have accommodated them for their own interests?

If everything the Bible says is true, then why is there nothing supernatural that this speaks of has happened today? I know that many of your prophecies have been fulfilled, but remember that we interpret everything our way.

The Bible is composed of many books written by different people of the time, but remember that none of them are present to check what the Bible says.

I know that we should believe only in your word, but who can guarantee that these ideas came from you and not from people whose book was inspired by nature, their ideas, and views of life?

I think we need to make sure that everything the Bible says is true, and if we’re right, we should start adding new testimonies that update this with the people of this time.

I would like to know, whatever the truth is, that you really exist and that you are waiting for us in your kingdom, or if you are just an imaginary friend I will always keep in my mind, heart, and thoughts during all my good and bad times living until I die.

God, I know that after we get more informed about yourself, things start to make a little more sense. If I am honest with you, we as human beings, with the free will we have to follow you or not, I could say that sometimes, it is difficult to believe that you exist. But only with the past and your great teachings in our lived experiences will tell us that there is only one who will be with us in our good and bad times. That someone is you.

At this point, I suddenly feel a great revelation and peace in my soul that I cannot explain. Although it may seem uncertain, all my concerns have been clarified. Where I have concluded that, to understand you, we should just have faith and confidence.

We must look inside ourselves and seek our positive and loving side that guides us to the right path. We must trust you blindly and without a doubt, because that way, I know it must be.

Whoever doubts your word will doubt his own truth and will be diverted by the path of darkness and confusion. Instead, whoever believes in your word will always be illuminated with your light.

Now, I understand that those who wrote the Bible were people inspired and ministered by you. We now have the Holy Ghost to interpret it. With your help, we can interpret the Bible better, and it will reveal to us the most intimate and sacred secrets that will guide us to salvation. It will also strengthen us every day.

I would like you to know that the reason I write all this is not only to vent me but also to serve as proof of everything I think about you and for people to really know me inside.

You should know that the best way to be a good believer is to have never believed. Since anyone who says that he believes blindly and does not hesitate or distrust what he claims to believe, he is deceiving himself, unless he has clarified all his doubts and concerns, which makes his credibility firm and indelible.

I promised you to be honest from the beginning, and I can tell you that my doubts toward you have been clarified and that my faith toward you is stronger than steel. But I must also tell you my strong feelings and faith about you are not enough to prove whether what I think is right.

I would like to apply my ideas in our society so that you live not only within me but also within all those who have not been associated with you.

I’d like to talk to you about a connection I have with you from an early age. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always felt that there’s something or someone who’s protecting me and guiding me in life. This was found in my dreams, thoughts, and ideas. It was only when I first heard about you that I realized that someone is you.

You were always in my good and bad times, and always asked me to do the right thing. This connection I feel toward you is from son to father, because you are my Heavenly Father and we are your children.

I would like you to know that I am a very logical person, and I confess that this was what led me to find you and love.

Now, if I am a person of great logic, how can I believe in you and your word if, for many, it is illogical that you exist? Well, the answer is simple. For this, I must believe that Jesus Christ is our savior and that true were the miracles and prophecies he performed on earth.

There is something very different from logic, which is faith, and it surpasses logic. Then, according to the Bible, Hebrews 11:1 (NIV) says, "11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." I heard this from the preacher in the church I attend.

Thinking this way is that we have evolved to the present day and is the only way we can make our dreams come true. I say this because only by having faith in achieving what we believe impossible is the only way we can get what we want for our lives.

I know that, like me, there are many people who are inspired by your greatness, which we owe everything to you. And I feel that you have given me the gift of wisdom and knowledge to communicate with you, which I hope to confirm over time whether I am right with my way of thinking.

I’d like to express to you everything I think about life. These things I will say below can be both correct and wrong, but only in this way, giving my writings to other people, will I realize how much we have in common or disagree as to our way of thinking and seeing life.

I think everything in life is related. I am a person who tries to summarize things as clear and short as possible by thinking logically.

For example, I see no differences between us, because we are one flesh, which is humanity, and we must take care of it. I know there are many differences in our personality and way of thinking, but I know that deep within us, in that place that we don’t all know yet, we are very much like each other.

That place I’m talking about is love. I believe that one thing that all human beings have in common is love, only that many of us turn it into hate.

I want you to know that everything I write is all your work, and I don’t intend to get credit for me. I just want to express my thoughts inspired by you, which I hope will be useful to the lives of the people that read this.

God, I believe you were creator of us and everything around us, but I also believe that it was we who found you.

You’ve always been there taking care of us unconditionally, only that many of us don’t recognize it. Few hear your words and obey them. Your words are found in our positive thoughts that tell us to do good, and the words of the evil are found in our negative thoughts that tell us to do the bad things.

Of course, only we are responsible for our actions, since we are the ones who choose what we believe is right or wrong for us.

As we all know on this earth how there is good, there is also evil.
