One night as I was lying in bed, I could picture in my mind’s eye crippled people heading toward the cross of Jesus. They weren’t just physically crippled but emotionally and mentally too. I knew in that moment what scripture meant when it said not many influential people were at Christ’s feet but mostly the poor and downtrodden. Why? Because we need Him! We’ve found a solace there. We’ve found acceptance, love, understanding, purpose and strength.

Yes, I am one of those cripples. However, I have found Christ’s love abounding toward me greater than any person’s love here on earth could. His love has set me free!

Dear Jesus,

Without the anointing of the Holy Spirit people can’t be helped. Please send Your anointing power upon each one reading this book. Let Your anointing flow upon them so they can see what You see in their hearts, minds and spirits. Work in their hearts to enable them to allow You to do whatever is necessary to be set free from the bondage that they have been suffering.

Anoint them, Lord, to receive wisdom through the pages ahead, and set them free.

Jesus, without You and Your anointing we can do nothing, but, with You we can do all things no matter how difficult; so please send Your anointing.

In the Bible, in chapters 3 and 6 of the book of Exodus, we read the account of God calling Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt into a land that He would show them. In many of the verses we hear God saying over and over, I see the oppression, I hear the cry. I know the sorrows. I see what has been done to you. I hear your groanings, you who are kept in bondage by your oppressors. I will rescue you from the bondage. I have come to deliver you. I will bring you out of your affliction.
