    Witness To A Crucifixion

Our wings are swept to a rocky hill.

The relentless winds devastated our wings inconceivably to this barren rocky hill.

Not a tree or of any green leaf could grow here.

A leafy branch would be heavenly

    That we could rest upon.

As we fly aimlessly trying to find a direction

To somewhere that is peaceful and bountiful became hopeless.

As we deliberate we become fully aware that we do not know where we are.

Our wings are distressed and our surroundings are unrecognizable,

    We find ourselves completely lost.

Yes, Birdie and Purdy are completely lost.

    Both are creatures of birds.

Birdie is the masculine and Purdy is the delicate feminine.

Both are lovely colorful birds to see until a furious wind took them to this unhallowed barren hill.

I look to Purdy to give her some comfort, to gather an essence of profound strength to go on.

"Purdy let us find a restful place even if it be only a cold uninvited rock.

In this desolate place a drop of rain would be wonderful yet unconceivable,

It would be so inviting and heart lifting as a gift of Gods’ infinite mercy."

"Yes, dear Birdie, we need to pray that somehow we must go on.

Our wings are torn and we have lost many feathers, we can’t fly much longer."

Purdy, as we rest here there is something going on.

"Yes, Birdie many people are parading; I hear laughter and loud cries.

This is not a festive happy group.

Oh Birdie, their faces look contortioned, as if they are wearing a mask."

"Strangely to say Purdy, it looks like a masquerade.

I have an eerie suspicion that this masquerade is a ghostly crowd.

    It is a disbelieving spectral.

Purdy, as they come closer I can see a man carrying a cross.

This looks to be a crucifixion.

    We should not watch this.

Purdy let us try to fly away."

"Oh my, oh my heart, the man that is carrying the cross I know.

He delivered a heartfelt sermon that compelled everyone to hear his words.

He is the good man that spoke
