Dear Reader,
As a writer, Christian Pascale’s strength was in his poetry. He took the feelings he had about life, love, and God and molded words around those feelings. He was a gentle soul who loved greatly.
I received a text from Chris once. It was inspirational and moving and wonderful, and I texted back a sincere thank you. Oh, sorry,
he said. That wasn’t for you.
When I was done laughing (because honestly, does it matter where the inspiration comes from or whether it was meant for you or not?) I asked him who it was meant for. My son,
he said.
Father, husband, poet, novelist… Chris lived each role fully.
He approached life with a zeal for adventure, learning, and connecting with others. In his first book, Memories Are The Stories We Tell Ourselves, he says in the preface, "I believe that writing is a way of communication
