Diana Hudson
Diana Sue (Manuel) Hudson is 48 years old, and lives in Pleasant Plains, Arkansas with her amazing family. In May,2013 she was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease. Diana started her writing journey, when she was fifteen. Her best friend moved from Cord-Charlotte, Arkansas to Sulphur Springs, Louisiana. “A True Friend” was the first poem she wrote. Two years later, she wrote “From The Heart”,for her parent’s appreciation banquet. She had nothing to give my parents, they have always struggled. In the Spring of 1983, her mother was diagnosed with Cancer, and in the Fall, her father had a hunting accident, breaking both of his arms. “I prayed all night before the banquet. I woke up around 3a.m.and immediately started writing.” The poem was then published in her 1985 yearbook. “Writing is my gift from God. I only wish to honor His will.”
