Secrets
A wee thing of three or so,
Death came pulling at her being,
A time of mystery, when little pitchers had big ears,
And that pain, when no answers were given.
A naughty little girl, so hard to be really good,
Who wrapped beloved, dear ones around her little finger,
Naughty little girl, confused, snuffing that life away.
So punish that evil, beguiling finger for its wanton deed.
Like the serpent of Eden, it must shed its wretched skin,
And if enough is sloughed off, the sun will shine again.
The Corner
A little girl was bad, alas,
I know her well, you see,
Her naughty side is to blame
But not the real, true me.
This corner vigil is not fair,
’Tis why I wail and
