About this ebook

Again the poems you will read in this book also came to me in difference ways. Some are the results of world affairs or observing people's behavior when out and about or just allowing my mind to wander. Some were somewhat painful to write while others were fun.

Poems by Joe (Booze) - Joseph Booze

    Prologue

Again the poems you will read in this book also came to me in difference ways. Some are the results of world affairs or observing people’s behavior when out and about or just allowing my mind to wander. Some were somewhat painful to write while others were fun.

    All aboard

He showed up at the station with luggage

full of the past, hoping this was the right

train that would take him into a brighter

    future at last.

After getting his ticket punched he climbed

    aboard feeling somewhat uncertain, unsure.

He went to the window and looked back down

the track, hoping this train would bring

    him back.

But his ticket said one way that cloudy day

so all he can do now is pray, enjoy the ride

    and forget about yesterday.

    Dancing among these beautiful

flowers assuming no one will mind.

What a fun thing to do. Don’t just

stand there come dance with me too.

There are so many beautiful flowers swaying

in the breeze as I go. Oops sorry about that one.

It’s done. Oops another one. What happened?

It was supposed to be fun. Here come the garner

    I better run.

    At Games’ End

It’s a bomber when you are in the fourth

quarter in the game of life with one minute

to play realizing kicking a field goal won’t

    save the day.

But you did the best you could all during the game, and

can leave the field with a smile hoping those who

supported you are doing the same.

Yes it will be hard to leave this team knowing

    it’s your last game,
